"This is literally on one of the trailheads leading you to a Lady Bird Johnson memorial. Being from Austin, Tx it was nice to make this connection. It’s a quaint little older farmhouse with hot water and electricity and the comforts of home. I would recommend staying here to friends. Host was quite accommodating when we had to make a last minute change to our booking. This area is close to many beautiful roads and trails into the majestic Redwood National Forest Thank you."
Beautiful Cottage in the Heart of the Redwoods

"The Ken(u) Cottage was perfect for our small family reunion (3 of us) for 5 days. The Host was so accommodating, helpful and easy to communicate with. The cottage is beautifully decorated and everything you might need is there, with the exception of your food, drinks, clothing. There is a washer and dryer available, and they will also provide needs for a baby/small child (like highchair and other items) check with them on that. It's pet friendly, I believe it's up to 3 dogs. They must be under your control, particularly because of wildlife in the area. We didn't encounter that during our stay. It's located central to most visited locations in northern California. Very convenient. It felt like we were at home. This cottage has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sofa with a pull-out bed. Staying here will always be a highlight of our trip. We highly recommend Heart of the Redwoods!We visited the Trees of Mystery, several stops with areas of historic sites and points of interest, like a WWII Radar Station, the Hoopa Valley, we dined at the Sunset Grill, the Seaquake Brewery in Crescent City, breakfast at Toni's in Arcata, off track from the normal we crossed from Hoopa to the coast via Bald Hills Road (beautiful sunsets above the clouds. So much more to see in this area!"

"We booked Cozy Cabin for a family wedding near Tish Tang Campground. It comfortably fit our party of seven, and our grandkids loved the game room's arcade games, shuffleboard, and foosball. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of linens were provided, the appliances worked perfectly, and the host was highly responsive. The listing notes no closets or other space for clothing available, so we lived out of suitcases. A few areas need attention:* Exercise extra caution at the raised entry landing. Its curved edge narrows beside the wall before steps lead to the living room. Because the landing, steps, and lower floor share similar brown carpeting, the edge is difficult to see in evening shadows. A guest stepped backward and fell off this narrow corner. Luckily, a soft chair broke the fall. A railing or contrasting edge markings are urgently needed here to prevent future falls.* Not recommended for guests who prefer firmer mattresses. The primary king bed features a memory foam mattress and topper that we found too soft & uncomfortably deep. The cabin's queen bed was similarly soft. At checkout prep, we found 2 pillows were stained.* Primary AC is quite loud. Opening windows worked in the early autumn weather, though neighborhood dogs barked and howled late in the evening and early in the morning.* Kitchen nonstick pans are heavily scratched and need replacement, * One of the slot machines had an out-of-order sign; the other required 25 to use & darts need replacement."
