Very well located property with comfortable large bedrooms and excellent beds and showers. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The reception area facilities, with free coffee, tea and hot chocolate on demand, add a nice touch. We particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet at night and the courtyard garden behind our room. Do give it a try!

Breakfast was good. Omelets can be cooked fresh on request and the array of juices, bread, cereals and fruit were more than enough for anyone. Rooms were decorated in individual styles. Number 3 had this huge steel breakfast bar in it. Not sure what it would be useful for in a bedroom, but it was there anyway.

Wonderful boutique hotel in a historic building with high ceilings and a welcoming atmosphere. Room was well appointed with a fantastic bed and good shower. We had a quick dinner at the restaurant, which offers a small menu. Food was very good, as was the breakfast. Staff was very friendly and location is perfect, on a quiet street in the city center near the train station and minutes walk from plenty of restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Boutique Hotel Staats is charming, quirky and intimate. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street in Haarlem, conveniently located in walking distance from the bus and train station. They offer lounge and bar service in a beautiful dining area, which makes the atmosphere so much more cozier on rainy days. As for my stay, the room was situated in the back corner on the top floor—super quiet and secluded. I came to appreciate this quality after a long day coming back from the main city. Initially, I had my concerns with the open shower across from the sleeping area but the ac unit solved exactly what I needed. It would have been a bonus if the windows could open to let fresh air in. A few critiques I’ll mention here are, the toilet room in my suite had an off-putting smell despite having daily housekeeping and the building is heavily scented (I suppose it’s their signature). All in all, my four nights at the hotel was generally pleasant. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a private and enchanting hotel experience.
