4/10 Poor

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Unfortunately, this was a disappointing stay overall. At around £200 a night, I expected considerably more. The hotel felt very basic, more like budget accommodation, with very little to justify the price. The room itself was fairly small and certainly seemed smaller than the impression given by the photos online. The balcony was particularly tiny. There were also a few maintenance issues, including a bedside light and toilet roll holder that were both partly coming away from the wall. Even the small touches were lacking, with only a couple of coffee pods per person for a 3 night, 4 day stay. The lift was incredibly slow, although that was more of a minor irritation than a major issue. Service was also underwhelming. I would not describe the staff generally as rude, but they were not especially attentive or welcoming, and one interaction was borderline rude. We chose the hotel because we wanted to be close to the town centre, and the location is certainly convenient. However, that did not make up for the overall standard or lack of value. There was nothing disastrous about the stay, but equally nothing that felt special or worth the price. I would not stay again, as there are better options in the area for the money.

A fairly quiet hotel, with clean and tidy rooms and very helpful staff. A great location right in the centre of Zandvoort, with a number of shops and restaurants just around the corner, plus the practically endless promenade and fantastic sandy beach just across the road. We had a really enjoyable 4 night stay and would certainly return if we are in the area again.
