"The people were amazing, the service was amazing….the only issue is that the location is very far from the station. Google maps says you can walk but it’s straight up a mountain and buses only run 1-2 per hour. Uber and Go-taxi don’t work "

"Overall, I good experience however there are some strange rules. For example, you cannot enter the hotel for several hours before your check-in at 6pm because they’re cleaning. There is no area to wait and relax, not even outside. We were encouraged to visit local museums. Whatever you do, do not arrive early! It’s also a bit odd that nothing is open in the morning so if you wake up between 5-7am, you can only have coffee in your room. The lounge is empty. This resort is spectacular and the...

"This was a great location to stay. The amenities were fantastic and we got lucky and were able to see Fuji-san on our last day. Great private onsen inside the room and wonderful views. Would highly recommend. "

"This a small Ryokan which is very authentic Japanese style. No English spoken but this adds to the authenticity. We loved the natural accommodation which was exactly as shown on the website. Excellent meal provided in the evening and an enormous breakfast which we were not expecting so was a bonus. We lounged about in out Japanese clothes provided and Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this clean and peaceful retreat. "
"Very old traditional Ryokan. Beautiful garden/riverside views. We did not realize that there are no private baths - that was a big surprise but we were only there one night so it wasn't that problematic. Staff were very accommodating and Google Translate made communication very easy."
