It was quiet when I visited but there are a few restaurants/dining options a short distance from the property. There's also a lot of historical information around the town if you have time.

Room was good, exceptionally clean and the staff were great, very friendly and super helpful. For the basics and budget stopover this place is perfect, such a beautiful part of the world too.

The property was amazing and owners very flexible around arrival time and departure. Couldn’t fault it and would definitely choose to stay again. However very confusing that received 2 invoices - 1 from Homeaway and another from Crabtree and Crabtree. Confusing as to what was being paid for what. ...

You can spend time browsing the exhibits at Great Chesters Fort in Greenhead. While in this quaint area, you can savour the lively bars.

Went to see Hadrian's Wall excellent.
The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The Manor House Inn on the high road served some lovely food and excellent real ale. I really don't know why the Romans ever left !!
We loved this little town!
Several good eating places, shops and local amenities - and well placed for exploring Hadrians Wall
fish and chip shop was good, lots of pubs.
