"Slaley is a grand hotel, outdated in parts, but don't let this put you off. Check in was quick, room spacious and clean. Nice view over looking the driveway. Bars were good and not to expensive. Breakfast was ok,food was fine, but kept running bout. lots of guests and the coffee machines kept running ..."

"The property was amazing and owners very flexible around arrival time and departure. Couldn’t fault it and would definitely choose to stay again. "Lovely week at Quality Cottage..very central location for what we're interested in..Roman sites, Hadrian's Wall etc..ringing signal man for permission to cross railway line was quirky..but no problem..trains regular but don't disturb one bit even at night..kitchen and bedrooms short of nothing..extremely ..."
