Host & Stay | Stonecrop Cottage

Host & Stay | Stonecrop Cottage

8/10 Good
"Alwinton is a lovely place and the cottage is a great base from which to explore the area. The communication from the host and details before arrival was excellent. The cottage has everything you need, almost too much for a place that only sleeps 2. I think it could actually do with a sofa bed in the lounge to accommodate a family. The split mattress on the double bed, isn't massively comfortable, but okay for a few nights. The backyard wasn't really usable.Overall we had a nice stay"

The Three Wheat Heads

The Three Wheat Heads

10/10 Excellent
"Great place to stop over and explore the Northumberland National Park. Very pet friendly accomodation and bar. All staff were very helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed the evening meal. The menu is vast and caters for all dietary needs. Large portions and very tasty -compliments to the chef. The inn has a really comfy cosy atmosphere and we had an amazing view from our room. The breakfast was very generous with great service too. Highly recommend."

Le Petit Chateau & William de Percy

Le Petit Chateau & William de Percy

8/10 Good
"Excellent stay when here for an evening wedding party. Booked a meal ( only had 1 course) for before party, which was excellent, very good service too. Drink prices quite high, but I suppose should be expected as is a wedding venue. Breakfast was nice, but had to ask for extra coffee( for 4) twice before getting. Also had to ask for toast as not offered when taking food orders. Poor selection of fruit available and no Greek yogurt even though on menu. For breakfast servings, May I suggest that you offer filtered coffee instead of that from a commercial coffee machine, which would save time . Would certainly stay again should another wedding invitation, for the venue, be received."

The Mill set in stunning rural Northumberland

The Mill set in stunning rural Northumberland

10/10 Excellent
"The cottage was very clean, cosy and had everything we needed for a weekend away. The beds were all super comfy and there was plenty of outdoor space in the gardens. We made use of the communal tennis court which was a great added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Mill House and would absolutely return again. Check in was nice and easy, and the host Joanne was lovey when we needed to communicate. We would definitely recommend."
