I chose this property because it was popular and close to my in-laws. Everyone gives it raving reviews, so I booked my reservation months ago. I was also told by former employees that this place used to be Better and it is now way different from how it used to be before. I’ve had minor issues leading up to the actual day of staying at the hotel but that did not matter because I already made up my mind to stay there however, I did not enjoy my stay for the most part. The rooms are not soundproof, every night I heard a couple being intimate that was annoying. Also, people coughing and using the bathroom.. The phones in the room do not work, nor does the balcony light. TV remote did not work, nor the button to the TV,. Breakfast is repetitive and limited. My room seen better days, I feel it was very dirty in my opinion. For the hotel to be luxury, for me, it did not feel like it. I wanted to ask the front desk can I change my room on the first day that I got there but they seemed unapproachable like you may be bothering them, so me not want to be that person who complains, I just spent my nights sleeping there sometimes and the rest of the time with my in-laws because it is what it is. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel to a friend who staying in Hammamet. But again this is just my experience. Maybe somebody else will have a better room that’s more clean and doesn’t it feel cramped and stuffy. I was there for nine nights.

The hotel looks nice we were bothered by two factors: 1- zero privilege as gold members. They refused to give an upgrade even though the hotels was not full. The service was too slow. We kept waiting for almost 2 hours to get pool towels and every time we requested one they sounded very rude and indifferent. 2- we were assigned a room where we had 3 RF antennas . As experts in the field we know that was not safe at all and extremely harmful.

Même si l’hôtel a besoin de rénovations, la propreté est au rendez vous. La bouffe est bonne et fraîche. Je ne pense pas renouveler mon expérience avec the russelior et je ne pense pas le recommander à quelqu’un de mes connaissances. Lors d’un séjour de 3 nuitées en demi Pension, et plus spécifiquement dans la soirée du 11 septembre, j’ai demandé au serveur de me donner un verre vide afin de prendre mes pilules après le souper. Je tiens à préciser que j’ai acheté la bouteille d’eau du bar de l’hôtel à un temps ultérieur. La réponse était: NON il m’a dit qu’ il est interdit de me donner un verre vide dans un hôtel 5 étoiles !! J’ai demandé au serveur de parler au chef de salle. J’ai eu la même réponse de ce dernier. Il ne peut pas me donner un verre vide pour prendre mes pilules mêmes si j’ai acheté l’eau du bar de l’hôtel😨 je suis déçu d’un tel service d’un hôtel 5 étoiles. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel et j’y reviendrai jamais …

This is no way a 5 star hotel- the service is actually shocking. Staff have knowledge of what is actually going on in the hotel in terms of what is and isn’t available to clients. I requested to speak to management, and given a whole speech and free coffee to make up for a horrible experience!

How is this hotel 5 star?
This hotel is FAR from 5 stars. It took over an hour to check in because reception could not find our reservation. They did little to quickly resolve this and just left us waiting and pretty much did they best to ignore us until we insisted they sort the issue. The main hotel areas were fine but the corridors were poorly lit, probably to hide the poor and dingy condition. The hotel was fine but also not 5 star condition, wallpaper was peeling, stains on the curtains, finger marks around the mirror. The room was apparently pool view but the glimpse of the pool we could see was actually the pool of the neighbouring hotel. The one plus is the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was really poor. It was tasteless and the pastries were rock hard. The pool itself was really nice and seemed clean but the surrounding area was a complete mess. Chairs and loungers just strewn around, all were really dirty too. I would not stay again and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone.

Tge hotel ia clean and modern, but the service and the breakfast is terrible, over allrge hotel is average and not worth the money, the best part us the swimming pool, but the management shoukd work more with the staff in terms of customer service, the breakfast is average...omelette is runny ..oan cakes burnt...not worth tge monet and wont recommends.

My second time in the Russelior Hotel; Things that did not change : - Food quality, always good. - Rooms, they are good. Things that did change : - Garden is not well maintained as it used to be. Grass is not as green as it used to be and trees are not maintained as they used to be few years ago. - Hotel partly transformed to a retirement and nursing home hosting Seniors with or without medical assistance. Every Senior person is actually assisted by a nurse. I've seen the same for El Hambra and Saphir Palace, all in the same region. - The cold welcoming and NO perks despite being a Hotels.com Gold member and the hotel being almost empty (I've kindly asked for the upgrade when booking). I'm not going back to this property.

I went their during Covid country lockdown where most of hotels around were closed I thought I’m going to have just for staying open service, but honestly everything exceeded my expectations, the service was top of the line considering they were missing staff .

Peaceful and cozy hotel with good service.
It was awesome staying at the Russelior hotel. This is the first time there and I'll definetely come back at summer time. The rooms are wonderful, clean and with a great view to the pool. We appreciated the "Macarons" present when we entered the room. We also appreciated the indoor pool and the Gym. Cosy and peaceful hotel. Food is also good.

Most staff are kind and attentive. location in Hammamet Yasmine is ideal - rooms are very small for the type of property and there was no initiative to consider giving us a better room even though the facility was literally empty during our stay. Management of the facility seemed to be disconnected with the clientele - Would not visit again, but would not advise against this property. There is a far better offer in terms of service in the region.

I don’t even know where to start... after reading so many good reviews we decided to book this hotel for our first wedding anniversary, and what a disappointment... - under staffed, we had to wait about 20min to have the food menu by the pool, another 20 for them to take the order - under staffed, no clean tables to eat, dirty towels everywhere... and it was a big dining room, but all the tables had he dirty places piled with dirty towels, I can’t even put into words - the so good restaurant that they have ........ just one person serving, so he had no time to prepare the tables or pay attention to the costumers, and again long long waiting time - napkins is something that is not seen that often, specially because they don’t have time to set up tables - Their uniforms ..... I have no words to describe how dirty the uniforms were, it is quite unpleasant to have someone preparing or serving you food with such a dirty uniform - the food was not the best at the hotel, to be honest - very very overpriced!!!! You can eat sooo much better and for a quarter of the price compared with the hotel. I understand this is a 5star hotel, and I wouldn’t mind pay for it if the service was worth it - worst experience ever

We were invited to a friend’s wedding so we booked one night at the Russelior. The room was not ready on time and we waited for 2 hours to check in even though we came two hours after the check in time. We made a reservation months in advance so we assumed that the room will be ready. The bellman escorted us and he was very professional. The front desk staff were friendly and gave us a late check out at 6pm but they didn’t provide us with information about the hotel and restaurants nor the SPA unless we call and ask. Any guest will expect an exceptional service from a luxurious 5 stars hotel but that wasn’t the case for us. Inside the room, the balcony door was blocked so we couldn’t sit outside we didn’t report it because we were busy with the wedding preparations and it wasn’t a big deal. The sad part of all this is that we were exposed to bed bugs during our sleep. As a result, my wife developed a bad reaction to the bedbugs bites which led to itchiness and red welts. In summary, it was only one night but unfortunately our stay was mediocre and it didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel.

It was a great hotel but it was not clear on the website that the hôtel was not on the beach. So initially we were very disappointed. But the pool, thé garden and service were great. It ultimately ended up being a nice weekend. But the website is not clear.
