"The setting of this hotel is wonderful and lovely right on Lake Michigan, and the staff is lovely, friendly and very accomodating. However, the hotel/room decor is very (out)dated and my room smelled strongly of mildew. I left the window open, ran the A/C and the bathroom fan all the time, and that helped somewhat with the odor. But I was pretty put off by the long black hairs on the bathroom floor, they were not mine. It was gross, and it tells me either the floor didn't get swept or the housekeeper's hair is long and black. Doesn't matter, it was nasty and unhygienic. thank you for your attention."

"Breakfast was good, room was clean. Odd setup for the door to the bedroom locking from the wrong side but not a deal breaker. The person that checked us in did give our room number out to us verbally as he handed us the cards. There was other guests present, a big no no"

"Great view from balcony. Breakfast was unique and delicious. Staff was attentive and fun. Check-in was quick. Lots of activities in nearby Algoma. Only negative is walls are thin - if you turn in early you may hear those that don't. Would definitely visit again."

"The place is an old rundown facility. But it was clean and the price was very low. The lady at the front desk was nice and accommodating. Would I stay there again ?. Probably. If you want fancy, this is not the place for you. But, you want acceptable at a good price this place certainly works."

"We absolutely loved our stay here!! We had our wedding here and the location was absolutely perfect we had family stay on the property and was able to have a ceremony and reception all in one place!! The house, yard, pool, and other amenities were top tier. I also have to give a huge shout out to the host who had amazing communication and responded so quickly and helped in any way they could! We know that others will love this place as much as we did!!"
