Top Hardy's Cottage Hotel Reviews
Yalbury Cottage
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed here for only one night but wished I'd stayed longer, I was a very nice experience indeed, from the moment I checked in I was treated exceptionally well by Ariane who made the arrival experience easy. The room was clean & quiet with the ensuite bathroom fully stocked & efficient. The breakfast (optional for a fee) was gourmet quality actually cooked by the co proprietor Jamie who I learned was a top chef so not surprised, there were various options too so plenty to choose from. The parking & outer spaces too were lovely & can't be praised higher. The overall experience of Yalbury Cottage is 5 stars & if anyone has trepidation of booking a room here relax as you won't regret it. Thank you Ariane & Jamie for looking after me so well and be assured I will be back when I get the chance although next time my stay will be much longer. Thanks Again John Prout."
The Casterbridge
10/10 Excellent
"Our room was lovely, suitably large with 2 good wardrobes and a light over the dressing table mirror. The mattress was very comfortable and table water was always available. Breakfast was served in the conservatory with a lovely view of the enclosed garden. We ventured away from the Full English to try the omelettes which were delicious! The owner, Noorani Willamson is charming, chatty and very knowledgable about the surrounding area."
Sleeping Bear Hotel Dorchester
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent hotel, highly recommended"
A wonderful base to enjoy your next holiday.
10/10 Excellent
"We had 4 nights at Woodlander and found it to be a charming and practical space. The property is clean and well laid out with good kitchen facilities, a spacious lounge, 2 good-sized bedrooms and a very good bathroom with large shower cubicle. A couple of car parking spaces really helps too. Decor and furniture in the lounge creates a very homely effect and in general accommodation is possibly better than expected. Pauline’s communication was helpful as were the numerous leaflets about places of interest to visit in the area. This property was ideal for our visit and we would certainly stay there again. Many thanks Steve & Jill"
Lakeside retreat with hot tub, games room and on-site spa and pool
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful spacious house with everything you need for a very comfortable family stay . Lovely position overlooking the lake and great fun using the water sport equipment. Overall a wonderful 4 night stay had by us all"
Charming Country Retreat on Old Sherbourne Road
10/10 Excellent
"Really nice cabin set in a private location. Host was lovely and very helpful"
Old Ship Inn
8/10 Good
"Compact rooms, located in yard behind the pub, a little noisy around closing time, all quiet after that, not a problem unless you are planning an early night. Shower clean, good flow and hot, biscuits with the tea and coffee, twin beds comfortable but we booked a double room, suggest ringing before arrival to confirm selection. Reasonably priced, would recommend if staying one or two nights."
Newly refurbished thatched cottage in beautiful sleepy village
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely property, bedrooms were roomy I felt the en-suite would be best suited to a double bed instead of the 2 singles this giving more space to move around in that room. Main bathroom and bathroom downstairs were great size, showers were good, towels nice and big. Bed okay comfort wise but pillows a bit hard.Kitchen very, very well equipped, nice touch with milk and water in fridge along with butter, honey, jam & 2 family circle boxes of biscuits .Plenty of seating for dining, lounge quite small if 8 people staying would be a struggle if everyone wanted a seat (maybe another sofa in huge conservatory would be an idea).Overall the property is a big thumbs up from us and would return.Location is lovely and the pub is so close you could trip over and land in the carpark, small incline to walk back, pool table in there at one end of pub and lovely restaurant the other end, nice beer garden with great views, and the pub offers the option to order lasagne or cottage pie for 6 people (will easily serve 8) to take back to property for 28, pre order necessary for this."
Delightful thatched cottage in beautiful sleepy Dorset village and countryside
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at Yoah Cottage, it was perfect for our family holiday. The cottage had all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We visited the New Inn next door for a carvery and drinks which was delicious, definitely worth the visit - it also has a stunning view in the beer garden. We would 100% visit again, it was brilliant value for money and a beautiful stay so thank you!"
