The Wellington Inn was excellent with for a short get away or business. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room cosy and clean and the food delicious. I would and have recommended it to my friends.
Enjoyable stay, lovely staff. Room was cold, ended up sitting in bed during the afternoon to keep warm as the central heating wasn't on and had to be in bed before it went off at night. Lovely big towels. Food was great. Would definitely return
What a find, from the moment we walked in we found the staff friendly and helpful. we were shown to our room which was very clean and comfortable. we had a superb dinner in their popular pub/ restaurant. we then started our day with a great breakfast. if we get the chance we will return.
Stopped here as it was about half way between London and Edinburgh. Warm, welcoming staff, great food, and comfy bed.
Stopped by Stump Cross Caverns before continuing north.
Fantastic stay at this lovely pub. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was great and everything well organised. Very welcoming and helpful staff throughout.
Perfect overnight stay en route home.
Room was wonderful and clean.
We booked a table for evening meal - fantastic choice and very good.
Breakfast was also very good, lovely to have an option of full English or smoked salmon or eggs Benedict etc.
Very happy - will definitely return again.
We had an excellent stay in this hotel and the food was amazing. The only think which was disappointing was the bed as it was an old iron bed which was so squeaky every time you moved it made a loud noise so I didn’t sleep very well.
fantastic place and a great base to see nidderdale
I loved the place ! Fantastic location , stunning scenery and truly lovely staff . The room was clean And well equipped. The bed was comfy and the shower was powerful. Food great , drink great after a hot day . I’ve already recommended to all my friends to stop here when hiking in nidderdale .
The pub itself is lovely, a big roaring fire, comfy chairs and a pleasent atmosphere. The food was tasty, drinks were well made and service was quick, breakfast was also delicious.
The room was a little tired looking but crisp white linen and overall very clean. Unfortunately a dog barking unattended in the next room for two hours spoilt my peace, not really their fault but maybe advise guests not to leave dogs in the room!
The only downfall for this stay was the staff, whilst efficient and fairly polite, a smile wouldnt have gone amiss.
Check-in I wasnt given any instructions, just asked to sign in and handed a key without even a hello or welcome. There was one lovely young lady at dinner who smiled and was pleasent, the rest barely looked at me. The young girl serving at breakfast spent the entire time huffing and puffing like she would rather be anywhere but in the restaurant, didnt even reply when I thanked her and said goodbye.
To top it off, as I approached the reception desk to check-out (key in hand and pulling a suitcase, so pretty obvious) the older gentleman glanced at me, turned around and walked out through side door and didnt return! I waited a few minutes and left my key on the side.
What could have been a really lovely stay let down by staff and I presume management who would I'm guessing rather not be there!
