This guesthouse is extremely comfortable, quiet and in a great location near the sea front. The staff are extremely helpful nd the breakfast options are second to none, awesome stay. I will be staying here again.

The Altonlea Lodge guesthouse is a wonderful, comfortable place to stay. Excellent location by the sea. The staff are the best, very friendly and professional.

Comfortable, friendly, clean, and great breakfast.
I stayed for three nights, visiting family. The guest house is exceptional - very clean, well-appointed, excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Now I have tried Altonlea, I will always book it when I visit Hartlepool.

Booking was for my 86 year old mother visiting and I have to say her stay here was outstanding. The owners are lovely and bent over backwards for her, so friendly and warm. The B&B itself is lovely, very clean, beautifully kept gardens and the location was fabulous. My mum was able to go for a walk on the sea front every morning. She will stay here again.

I was received with a warm welcome shown to my room which was a double ensuite, clean, warm and a very confirmable bed. TV maybe a little small for moden day stands but more than adequate. Wifi connect was super fast and strong,essential when travelling for work. This was something i found lacking in many hotels in the area. My stay was pleasant and hassle free.

The personal touch made all the difference
Very comfortable room and bed. You couldn’t ask more for the price that we paid. From carrying my luggage to making sure our every request was met Lee was the perfect host.

A great stay
Really enlisted my stay at Altonlea Lodge and Seaton Carew. All the staff were so friendly and kind. Very spacious and comfortable room. Fantastic breakfast and I look forward to coming back

Lovely property near the beach
Lovely property and all the staff were welcoming, polite and attentive. Breakfast was great and plenty of it. The garden area was really nice full of flowers and had nice seating area. Would 100% recommend and will return in the future. Thanks

Loved our stay!!
Would absolutely stay again. The bed was very comfy as were the pillows and chairs in the room. Breakfast was delicious. There’s a nice garden in the back. The promenade and beach are a block away and shops and restaurants are walking distance. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

More than the standard Seaside B&B
It may look like a standard seaside B&B from the outside but this is the best of quite a few I have stayed at. After a very friendly welcome, I was taken to a very clean, comfortable and spacious room which came with TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee and plenty of room to stow my gear. Ideally situated right by the beach with plenty of pubs and restaurants close by. Yes, I had to wait a few minutes for breakfast, but that is because it is freshly cooked to order. The small waiting time is definitely worth it as the full English was excellent. Everyone there was pleasant, friendly and helpful. This will definitely be my first port of call for my next visit.

Fantastic hotel
Recently renovated to a high standard. All areas of the hotel, room and bathroom were a really high standard. We hiked here as part of the Pennine Way they are very prepared for hikers- taking our bags in from our bag drop company, offering packed lunches, substantial breakfast included. The evening meals are also very tasty. We had a great stay which was helped by the excellent and friendly service.

Lovely guest house
Only stayed for one night but from the welcome on arrival to departure was fabulous. Very clean room and shower room. Super comfortable bed and pillows with hig h quality cotton bedding and super duvet. Chairs to relax and desk to catch up on work. Loved the breakfast too

Gem of a find
This was a gem of a find. Our host Lee made us feel very welcome and that he wanted to provide everything we needed. Breakfast each morning was fantastic - cooked to order and with fresh fruit and good coffee. The surrounding area was great for sightseeing.

Look no further, you wont be disappointed.
This was my second stay at Altonlea Lodge and as before, cannot be faulted. Everything from the room, bed, shower room, cleanliness, breakfast, VFM and attention to detail were excellent. I will always try to stay here when in the area.
