Beautiful location

Beautiful location
The stable was much bigger than the photos show & was veer clean & spacious with everything to hand. The owners Jan & Nick have thought of everything. The garden & woods are lovely, we were lucky to be there with the bluebells in full bloom. Enjoyed seeing all the animals including horses, rabbits, squirrels & lots of different birds. The stars are amazing when the night sky is clear. Lots of places to visit, we went to Rye, Hastings, Canterbury & Bodiam Castle.

Another lovely stay!
We love going back to The Stable. It is very comfortable & relaxing . Guestling Woods is beautiful with the bluebells at this time of the year.The great spotted woodpecker was back on the feeder regularly & we also saw the green woodpecker this time! Jan & Nick are always very welcoming. Thank you!

Another fabulous stay!
Just wish we could stay longer. The property is just a brilliant place to stop and relax but with plenty to do nearby. We felt able to let our children (6 & 9yo) go into the woods by themselves to play, which is such a joy for all concerned. Highly recommend this property.

Perfect Spot for Rest & Relaxation
Absolutely delightful in every way - hosts engaging, property exactly as described and very homely, location just want we wanted in terms of getting away from it all and the added bonus of cows who always seemed pleased to see us. Thanks to our hosts for setting up the wood burner which was an absolute treat - much needed after a very muddy walk in the woods!. Will definitely be looking to visit again.

Great Place

Another wonderful stay
Our 2nd time at the stables and we just love it! A real home away from home The cottage is so comfortable and cosy and has everything you need. It's also super clean and Janet and Nick are super hosts. The area is beautiful with woodlands on the doorstep and lovely coastline only a short drive away. We'll be back soon again 🙂🙏

A Wonderful Stay
We love going back to The Stables. Lovely comfortable home in a peaceful idyllic location. Jan & Nick are very welcoming. There's always some goodies waiting for us+ some flowers on the sideboard. Very fortunate this time to watch the nestlings in their nest via the camera feed on tv and numerous visits from the woodpecker. Had fun with my camera taking shots of the birds+ rabbits & some success with the woodpecker! We enjoyed the 20 minutes circular walk via the woods from The Stable too. We hope to be back again sometime soon.

"Far from the madding crowd"
This was our second visit and it was lovely to be back, so peaceful and quiet, surrounded by nature. This time we were also able to watch what was happening in a nearby sparrows' nest on the televsion screen - a real treat.

Hidden gem
This is our second visit and my husband described it perfectly as a hidden gem!! The photos don’t do it justice - it’s so peaceful and the woods are beautiful. Lots of wildlife to see - rabbits, birds - we even saw a woodpecker on the bird feeder, and a calf was born in the nearby stable!! Really well equipped and clean, and Jan and Nick are wonderful hosts. Perfect for couples or families. Thank you for another lovely stay!!

Perfect little getaway
This property had everything you could need and was the perfect home away from home. Sitting on the sofa with the fire lit, watching the birds and rabbits outside was just so peaceful. An incredible property with fantastic hosts
The place is amazing and has everything that you'll need. The bird song from the forest is lovely, and the feeders are kept full, so you have a constant stream of birds visiting the deck. It's such a peaceful place and you can't hear any traffic or noise from the farm. If you need a restful break then this place is ideal. The wood burner was well stocked with wood and we enjoyed staring into the flames each evening. Great communication and also gave me advice about where would be good for us to visit with a wheelchair.

Staying at The Stable
We had an extremely special 5 nights staying in Jan and Nick’s lovely accommodation in idyllic surroundings. Wine and other goodies were left for us to enjoy and everywhere was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well maintained throughout. The wood burning stove was real bonus too. We would thoroughly recommend The Stable for a peaceful, hideaway holiday and would not hesitate to stay again if we were ever down in this delightful part of the world. Magical retreat
This place is special, the stable is located on the edge of an ancient woodland, its so quiet and tranquil. Beautiful farm nestled in the rolling landscape with the beach only a few minutes drive. We loved the animals on the farm and daily walks right of the estate, foraging for mushrooms and enjoying the beautiful countryside. The stables are very comfortable and homey and we loved our time here. Nick and Jan were fabulous hosts 👌 👏

Relaxing stay in comfortable and well equipped property.
Had a lovely week at The Stable with my husband. The property is welcoming and comfortable. We loved the provisions and treats that were waiting for us on arrival. The kitchen is the best equipped I have visited. We tend to cook rather than eating out and this was very easy to do because the kitchen has everything you need. There are some lovely walks straight from the house. Jan left us details of a great walk through their private woodland and following local footpaths.. We also visited lots of great places in the area Dover Castle, Pevensey Castle, Eastbourne, Hastings, Rye and Pett. We will definitely recommend The Stable to friends and family.

Great place for families
This was probably one of the best places we've had the pleasure of staying at as a family with 2 young children. Everything was great but what really stood out was the amazing location, it was such a great experience to stay on a farm in an old cowshed surrounded by sheep, pigs and horses amidst woodland and rolling hills, spending the evenings on the veranda watching woodpeckers and songbirds it was great for the soul! The kids loved the animals and also the amazing garden play area which was like something from a fairytale. You can really see the passion that the owners have out into the place! I hope we can return one day!

A little bit of Heaven!
The Stable is an old farm building which has been beautifully converted into a comfortable and well-equipped holiday home. It is in a very quiet and tranquil setting, surrounded by woods and farmland. From inside the lounge, entertainment is provided by wild birds coming to take peanuts from the feeders on the veranda. Janet and Nick are the perfect hosts, very helpful, available should any problems arise but otherwise leaving us to enjoy to the full the peace and quiet.

Calm peace and tranquility
We have stayed here before, a very comfy homely barn conversion, on a farm everything we needed for a well needed peaceful break, to having a cuppa or a glass of wine on the decking and just hear and see birds. It wonderful, our hosts were there for us if we needed anything and were friendly and welcoming. A great place if you want a get away from it all break, but not far from lots of attractions....cant wait to go back

Second time we have stayed here within 3 months. Place has everything you could want for a peaceful and tranquil break. Child friendly and games/puzzles for children and adults. Fabulous stay with great hosts
Great stay in this wonderful, quiet cozy property on a farm. As birders, it was great to see a variety of birds land on the feeders outside of the window and to cozy up with wine after cooking a meal in the kitchen, which has everything you need. Jan and Nick were both very helpful and welcoming and they were perfect hosts. This is our second stay here and it won't be our last!

The Stable has everything you could dream off. The property is beautifully set out with spacious accommodation. You have the birds who come to visit everyday and lovely log fire. Nothing is to much for Jan and Nick already rebooked.
