"First of all, we had a wonderful time. There were a few problems. The AC did not work properly. Communications did not go well. The house needs some TLC. The area is beautiful. We enjoyed the pool, fishing and just relaxing."

"We had a wonderful stay at this Mars Hill cabin and couldn't have asked for more. The views from the property are breathtaking, and soaking in the hot tub after a day of exploring was the perfect way to unwind. The location is fantastic — close to Hatley Pointe and just a short drive to the Appalachian Trail at Sams Gap, so there's easy access to both mountain activities and beautiful hiking.The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the main floor living space was cozy and inviting.We did have one hiccup — the hot water heater went out for a day — but the host responded quickly and had it fixed in no time, even though it was a holiday weekend. That kind of responsiveness really says a lot about how well this place is managed.Everything about this stay felt relaxing and well cared for. We'd happily book again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain escape with easy access to outdoor adventure."

"Beautiful piece of property way up on the top of the mountain with a nice west view of the sunset. The roads going all the way upper paved and it takes only about 40 minutes to get to Asheville and only 25 to Weaverville or Mars Hill is close to. Lots of stuff to do lots of hiking around and waterfalls nearby. We had an excellent 4th of July vacation. We hope to come back again"

"The property was very clean and the views were beautiful. The rooms were spacious and we really enjoyed the ping pong table and the hot tub. There was quite a difference in AC temperature from the bottom floor to the top floor, but it wasn't terrible. We had great weather and could open windows at night.Communication was very good, frequent and clear. No problem checking in and out. The listing said garbage gets picked up everyday, but maybe that's seasonal. We had plenty of room in the bin for the four days we stayed.The directions said not to follow GPS, but we didn't have any issues on either of the two roads that lead up the mountain. The listing also mentions resort access and a pool, but it looks like the resort went out of business a while ago. Everything was boarded up and the pool/hot tub was not useable. The parking lot was overgrown with the basketball hoops tore down. Not that big a deal since we were just there to relax at the house."
