I booked a staycation at this hotel to catch up with friends travelling from far away, but unfortunately, my experience was a mix of highlights and major letdowns.The Positives: Excellent Breakfast: The breakfast bar was very good with high-quality food. Spacious Lobby: The lobby is large and provides a great, comfortable place to sit and talk with friends. Convenient (But Confusing) Parking: The underground parking has a direct connection to the hotel and offers a guest discount, though it is still expensive. However, if you are new to the area, finding the actual parking entrance is a bit of a puzzle. The Negatives: Unwelcoming & Inconsistent Reception: Upon arrival, the receptionist was very neutral, did not smile, and gave off an unwelcoming attitude. It was deeply uncomfortable to notice her being much more cheerful and friendly with other guests later on, leaving me to worry if the cold treatment was based on my ethnicity. Overpriced & Unkempt Balcony: I paid extra for an expensive room with a balcony, but it was completely hopeless and unusable. It was unkempt, covered in bird droppings, and filled with overgrown, untidy plants. Bathroom Issues: The bathroom had a strong, unpleasant sewage smell that required me to use my own perfume to mask it. Additionally, the sink tap was leaking. Verdict: While the public areas and food were excellent, the room quality and the inconsistent service at reception did not match the premium price paid for a balcony room.

The hotel and grounds were beautiful! The reception and bar/restaurant staff were super nice!
