Set right by the harbour in the fishing town of Porthleven, this bright and airy apartment has a sociable, open-plan living space and a balcony. With the added bonus of a covered parking space, it’s perfect for a couple or small family looking for a seaside retreat that’s quiet yet also close to shops and restaurants.
Set on the first floor, the apartment is stylish and comfortable, adorned with interesting art works and equipped with everything you’ll need for a relaxing holiday. The living space, decorated in soft colours, has a kitchen and dining table at one end and a lounge area at the other. A dishwasher will help you keep everything clear and clean, and there’s a Nespresso machine for reviving cups of coffee. After you’ve eaten you can unwind on the corner sofa, perhaps watching a film on the Smart TV. The main bedroom is super-king-size, and has the benefit of a fitted wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom; the second bedroom is a twin, with use of a lovely shower room. You’re in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty here, and there are plenty of scenic walks, coastal and inland, around, while dramatic St Michael’s Mount, a castle on an island, is just 10 miles away. For a family-friendly day on the beach, head to Praa Sands, 5.5 miles, and don’t miss a trip to popular St Ives, 17 miles, where you’ll find five gorgeous beaches and an array of shops and eateries.
