Avoid if London is hot as there is no air in the hotel. Avoid if you have any mobility issues because there is no elevator and stairs are extremely narrow and steep. I got the fourth floor room and getting up and down with a small suitcase at my age was dangerous. Finally front desk was at best in different.

London isn't equipped for temperatures in the 90s Fahrenheit (30s Celsius). During check-in, the hotel lobby was very warm and that was our first indication. When we got to our room, the AC was set to 19C but the room was 26C (80F) and the AC couldn't keep up. It was blowing a small bit of cold air, but the room was uncomfortably hot, even with the blackout shades closed all day. We called and they sent a technician to look at the AC, and he confirmed it was working. They ended up bringing two fans to the room which helped a little bit, but it was still nights of sweating through sleep with no covers. The "king beds" should be clearly described with dimensions as "European king beds" being much smaller than a North American king, and essentially the same as a queen. We chose this room because of the "two king beds" for our family and learned that not all kings are the same. Little stuff like the Nespresso pods not being refilled during daily housekeeping was an unnecessary follow-up call to the front desk. And one elevator was out of service for maintenance during our full stay. Still giving 4 stars because the room had what we expected and the location was a good spot to embark on London sightseeing adventures.

The rooms were very nice and the breakfast buffet was great. They also left me a little gift of English teas for my birthday. I would definitely stay there again.
