It showed the staff (Viv) went above & beyond to decorate the room that brought joy to my wife on her birthday. Thanks to all the team and management for welcome us with such a fantastic experience. "We had a lovely stay. The staff could not have done enough for you. The place is kinda old fashioned but i think that part of its charm. The food served in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast was very high quality and delicious. The staff were wonderful. Apparently the (waiting) staff dont really get many tips, so you may want to tip separately rather at the end of the stay to ensure they get it. It wasnt clear. One little negative, the room was way too hot and took hours to cool with the window open (and i feel the cold). The place is dog friend ly which is nice. "

"Old fashioned Grand hotel with old fashioned excellent service. A porter greeted us, found a parking space and swept our bags away to our room. Reception courteous and helpful. Nothing too much trouble for dining room staff. Garden Restaurant food quality excellent"

"A seaside hotel with a sea view is just what we wanted. A large hotel with 70 odd rooms and just off the Eastbourne seafront. A nice pool and a large spacious dining room as well as a separate bar."
