Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Everything was fabulous. Great room, amazing staff, lovely Spa and treatments.
The restaurant and food were excellent.
Staff were attentive and polite. Room was a bit too hot for sleeping. Breakfast was excellent quality but the high end restaurant was expensive for the quality of food. Also only had 3 options for children which was not great. Swimming area was lovely.
This hotel is the goal standard. Management from other hotels should come and visit it. From beginning to end the service engagement with well informed and genuinely welcoming. It’s a very interesting historical setting. When they say they are dog friendly, they genuinely are.

The room was really knackered, uneven floor, very old carpet, could feel the mattress springs, the shower was very old and difficult to operate. The hotel seemed very quiet and lacking in atmosphere, and the steam and sauna are no longer there. The grounds are nice and the breakfast was good, with good walking locally.
I appreciate the friendly, accommodatung staff and the comfort afforded in this classy country house hotel. Our room was comfortable and the dining experience memorable!
The spa was extremely relaxing.
Thank you!
The breakfast was good
Upon arrival we were allocated a room that was cesigned for disabled persons, especially in the bathroom ,with hand rails and grab facilities.
Fortunately the upper floor facilities lift was an infill to our room, did not operate during our stay, otherwise we would have requested a room change.
The site can only be described as massive and the staff were very helpfull.
We only stayed for 2 nights and it met our requirements.
If you were looking for a room with a view the cost would be exceptional, our room overlooked an external barrier wall.
As we were out all day this was not a problem, however if you want to stay longer go elsewhere or you will be disappointed - the site is for wedding functions and business.
I suggest you look elsewhere if you want a leisure break
Lovely stay at Ashdown Park. It is a peaceful comfortable hotel. The rooms are spacious, with lovely smooth bed linen and fluffy soft towels. The staff are exceptional - attentive and extremely helpful, in reception, concierge, the lounge and the restaurant.
Staff was amazing .the only point was the single bad materass...was uncomfortable and a little bit not adequate respect the quality's structure specially a four star hotel as the ashdown forest park hotel is .
Room was clean although a bit hot, swimming pool, spa & changing rooms clean. Staff in dining room & brasserie attentive, wish I could have stayed longer!
It's a lovely place to have a nice relaxing time with lots of walks in Ashdown forest. Also the breakfast and dinner were very tasty and enjoyable aith a very polite and kind staff. Will go there again soon.
Liked the location. Very peaceful and quiet. Staff very friendly and polite. Food excellent
Downside - long walk to bedroom, lots of stairs, hard to get in and out of bath as sides very high
The staff and service can not be faulted here, everyone was so friendly and helpful and the place is beautiful with their 3 gardens and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. Restaurants served good food and they have 24 hour room service!
Beautiful looking hotel in a stunning setting. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. Bedrooms and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The communal areas could do with sprucing up, some of the decor is a bit dated and the carpets are grubby, if they could get that right then they would be a potential big hitter in the premium country house sector which is full of high quality accommodation
