Great stay in the countryside
We really enjoyed our stay, thanks in large part to the fact that because of a cancellation we got upgraded to a front-facing room at the last minute, which provided great views! We were glad we arrived relatively early just so we could hang out on the balcony. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff members were friendly, and the food at the restaurant was great! We had Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast and enjoyed both. Would recommend!

A pleasure
Lovely clean, warm room, a lift and no walking with bags! Beautiful balcony overlooking miles. Amazing continental breakfast and god check in/out times.

Very good. Panoramic view of battlefields, lovely countryside. About 7 miles from Ypres. Excellent stop on way to Channel Tunnel.

Was unable to take up booking as in hospital with terminal cancer . As a result was not reminded of booking until too late . The hotel is saying they are charging my card . In the circumstances i find this totally unacceptable!!

Hello, You booked on 15 March 3 rooms for 11 August (Rally Ypres World Championship). You didn't cancel the booking in 5 months time, you received 3 confirmations. On 11 August you didn't shop up so the booking became a no-show. Tip : cancel your booking in time or just call the hotel for us to cancel it in your place. In 5 months time I think a little phone call could have been possible.

Fully fit for family purpose!
We have chosen this hotel for the wonderful picturesque surrounding with free parking, breakfast and fridge for the cheese from the local cheese farms. We had everything we needed and even more as we could make a tea, toast and omelette and eat this all at the balcony or big table in the room.

Great base for visit to WW1 battlefields - close to Ypres. Room was perfect for family and very clean and quiet. Restaurant was good value in the evenings, try the soup. Breakfast very good too. Welcoming staff.

A good few nights stay.
lovely area. Accommodation on first glance looks cheap.... the corridor and doors to rooms aren't much to look at, but the room itself was lovely. Clean, good standard, beds were comfortable and gave a good nights sleep! Hotel staff were good and wonderful breakfast.

Nice clean hotel 20 min from Ypres
Clean hotel in a small town. The room was very comfortable, and the sheets were clean and high quality. Breakfast was basic and good, with fresh fruit. The reception area is not 24/7 and so we had to make sure we were there by 10pm. The stairs to the higher floors are narrow and circular, but they have an elevator on the outside which helps when you have heavy luggage to take up..

A very nice family hotel in a wonderful location. The food was excellant. indeed the best soup iv'e ever had. The only dissapointment was no TV in the bar to watch the football.

Visiting WW1 sights
We spent 2 nights at Belvedere. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Our room was at front of hotel affording great views across open countryside. The road outside didn't disturb our sleep. We ate both nights in the restaurant downstairs which is open to the public and was popular on the Saturday night. They do a good value 3 course set meal which was enjoyable. On the Saturday night we both had steak which was superb and again good value.

Great Oasis out of the City
Lovely hotel with a spacious room and yummy breakfast. I was traveling with 2 friends in Belgium so we booked the triple room for 4 nights. We found the room very spacious for the 3 of us. It was nice to have a fridge and kitchenette. The breakfast was very good with fresh pastries , meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice and coffee plus much more. We ate a couple of nights in the hotel restaurant and found it very good and so nice and convenient after day of touring. They had good Belgian beers on tap at the bar.

Excellent base for cycling holiday, right in the heart of hundreds of miles of cycling lanes the hotel staff couldn't do enough. Clean rooms with excellent views. Free parking and great base to relax or visit the nearby battlefields, will use again

We spent 1 night here. The views were fantastic, the room was spacious, quiet and clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and all spoke English. We ate in the restaurant and the food was plentiful and tasty, as was the breakfast. We would definitely return if we were back this way.

Good value for money
We chose this hotel to be near Ypres for the cemeteries. We left little time before booking so was unable get a hotel in the centre. However, whilst the hotel is beautifully positioned and high up for excellent views, it is unfortunately, very rural and not accessible by bus or taxi. We were left unable to have a few drinks in the town at night as we had to drive in. Good points; the hotel is run by a lovely family who help you as much as they can. They are cat lovers as we are. My daughter was particularly fond of the 'outside' cats. The rooms were very spacious and beds comfy; we had 2 lovely nights uninterrupted sleep. The evening menu is good value and very filling. Ample parking behind the hotel. Bad points; I would have liked an option of something cooked with our breakfast, maybe an omelette or hot boiled eggs and toast. The fridge in the room did not work leaving foodstuffs we bought go off quickly. Again, the rurality of this hotel is a negative, however if you prefer beautiful views and a more peaceful and serene environment then this is for you.

Beautiful Belvedere
I chose this hotel last minute as hotels in Ypres centre full. I am very glad I did. We had a lovely welcome,the food was great and the surroundings lovely. I came with two friends but would definitely come back with my family.

Countryside hotel in Belgium
This is a friendly hotel which is good value for the price charged. The views out the front are amazing - you can see for miles across the Belgian countryside. Our room was large and comfortable with a great balcony. It's a short journey to get into Ypres, if that is the purpose of your visit. A good base for exploring WW1 sites.

Fab hotel, really clean and well furnished with lovely food (not cheap but not extortionate either). Only the owner speaks any English so French or Flemish needed really. Very friendly and helpful. Would choose this hotel again if we're ever back in the area.

Hotel address is Rodeberg, rather than Heuveland which caused some problems with the GPS. A little farther from Ypres than we had hoped. Room was large and comfortable but missing a bulb in the bedside lamp. Restaurant not fantastic but a lot of good restaurants further down the road.

Belvedere Hotel Heuvelland
A very well situated hotel, in a commanding position, with stunning views over the countryside. Our room,wich was cleaned daily, was very large, good size bathroom, flat screen tv,mini bar etc Hotel owners were extremely helpful, polite and cheerful! Breakfast was always enjoyable, the restaurant served a wide variety of delicious food A hotel to recommend for sure.
