Short Break
Wonderful little cottage on a working farm. Ideally suited for Hadrian's Wall and Northumberland National Park. Val was a lovely host and if we're ever in the area again we'll certainly try to come back here

Seemed so remote when we got there, but by the time we left, was home. Wonderful area closed to many historical sites, museums and delicious restaurants. The surrounding area such peaceful beautiful country. Being spring, lambing season in full swing. Aemory never to be forgotten.

A very pleasant cottage
A very pleasant cottage in a delightful setting. Good communication all round with our host. A great touring and walking base. Fuller prior instructions on finding the cottage by road would be helpful; initially our satnav could not locate it!

Deep in the countryside
The property is at a farm in a windswept valley. Hadrian's Wall is close by and Vindalanda is only two miles away - we cycled there. It seems remote because there is no mobile phone signal and tv is limited to terrestrial channels. We wished we had brought some dvds because we did not fancy driving in the evenings along single-track country roads.

Lovely stay with our puppy in a remote setting close to Hadrian’s wall.
Property was cosy with the wood burner lit . Ideal for walking and visiting Vindolanda and Housesteads Fort. Facilities were adequate but no shops close by so tea and milk when we arrived would have been welcome ! WiFi poor.

Perfect peace
Set in the grounds of a working farm, this has been the most restful and peaceful stay. Plenty of interesting Roman sites just on the doorstep and Dark Skies status for astronomers too. Cosy accommodation, everything needed for a restful stay. Lovely, friendly hosts who made us very welcome. Friendly cats to keep you company whilst sat out on the patio in the sun. Truly never slept so well - it was the most relaxed I’ve been in years! It’s a long way from we’re we live but really hoping to return for another restful break some day. Thank you for making this little bit of heaven available.

Cozy cottage
Small clean cozy cottage in beautiful location. Mind the low ceilings upstairs but has beautiful views. Shower space difficult to use…very little space.
