"Everything was wonderful! The ease of access, the fully equipped kitchen, the beautiful rooms, fireplaces, everything! Short of groceries, we had everything we needed to enjoy a week away! There were a couple of things that could have made things a little easier - figuring out how to operate the fireplace and the thermostat were a little tough. Having some instructions around would have helped. But, having young adults around helped alot!! We got it figured out and thorouvhly enjoyed everything!Thank you. I look forward to my next getaway!!"

"Host quick to answer questions and sending updates. Was pleasently surprised to have linens. House and location was great. While we left our Lab home this time it is a great walking neighborhood and if your doggie is a swimmer the dock is perfect for that."

"Pros: Cute house and fantastic location on the lake. Master bed soft and comfortable with great master bathroom with big tub and shower and 2 sinks. Basement bedrooms okay. Kitchen was well stocked with cups/plates/pans. Outside decks were perfect with nice view of the lake and trees. Very quiet neighborhood and cove. Close to marina and grocery and restaurants. Was easily able to rent a boat at Parrot Cove and dock at house. House was very comfortable for family of four, and we enjoyed the pool table and dock. Towels and sheets very clean and comfortable. Enough parking for 3 cars. It was really good stay and I highly recommend the house. There are a lot of stairs both down to the house and then down to the dock but we didn’t mind as if it gave us a little exercise during a very relaxing week at Smith Mountain Lake. Suggestions to host for improvement: The carpet could likely use replacement soon (but it didn’t smell like pets). Note, I have aversion to shaggy carpet over lower pile carpet or hard wood, so others might be good with carpet throughout house. Blender was cracked so couldn’t use it. Sliding glass doors don’t have screens (weather was nice so would have been nice to open those to air out house and hear outside woods noise). Lighting in hall bathroom upstairs kept flickering and changing colors (may have been bulb). Basement a little musty but to be expected at the lake. "

"It is a very good place for family, plenty of room inside and out. Beautiful view of the lake and the dock and swimming area are great. The hosts were fantastic. We enjoyed the kayaks and being in a cove means no boat traffic. We would love to go back!"

"The house was beautiful! We had a little trouble to start out with electronic keypad, but Zak was very responsive and talked us through it. There were a few issues with things not being in order regarding dirty grill left by another tenant, spa not having correct chemicals to treat the water. These appeared to be due to the cleaning company between tenants, but again, Zak came right out and rectified all issues. We had a splendid time in the lake, fishing, boating, and generally having a blast!"
