"The property and its amenities were better than than photos. It was extremely clean and well maintained inside and out. There were many thoughtful provisions for the kids and dogs. The host clearly put a lot of effort in for the guest comfort. There are two (random) things that stuck with me: the water filter inside the refrigerator was labeled with a recent installed date. The HVAC filters (and covers) were all new/clean. I can't remember the last time I stayed at a STR and felt confident like this. The outdoor space is exceptional. We had a great time hanging out at the dock. Loved the 2 kayaks available for guests to use. We'd love to visit the property again during peak season to fully enjoy the lake."

"Beautiful home on Smith Mountain Lake near the state park. We enjoyed the spacious yard and the spacious home. There are lots of levels that allowed for privacy within each room that we really liked. The main area was spacious enough for everyone to gather. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was very important. There are two docks which the smaller one looked fairly new. That allowed for everyone to spread out for boating, fishing, and swimming. The beach was nice for the little ones. There was nice white sand for them to walk in the water and play in that area beside the fire pit. The adults enjoyed the porches at night. Plenty of driveway for parking. This one was so accommodating. We will definitely have to make it the annual spot! Ashley was easily reachable during our stay, but we fortunately didn’t need her much!"

"Sandy Bottom Cove was super nice! House was beautifully decorated, very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable! The pool was very relaxing, and the perfect temperature. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, and the pool table on the lower level as well! The view of Smith Mountain Lake was gorgeous, especially as the sun was coming up in the morning. We had to call the maintenance number to get some debris out of the pool, and they came right away, and took care of everything which was great! We would definitely rent this house again!"

"Terribly maintained, excuses from the host, will never book again. Frozen hot tub, no heat in the unit and they didn’t even have blinds for a glass door that sees everything. I’m pursuing a refund & can only hope the host cares enough to actually fix things. Do not stay here when it’s cold, they don’t care about the property. "
