Heron Point - Amazing Property with Breathtaking Water Views - Luxury Hot Tub!

"This beautiful home is very accommodating for a large group get-together. The bedrooms are all cozy, clean and attractive. The kitchen is very well equipped and organized which makes cooking an enjoyable experience. There are many options for all ages for entertainment and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking. My personal favorite part of Heron Point is sitting around the fire pit,sharing stories and looking up at the stars."

"This was my 4th of 5th annual stay. As always, the best experience EVER. DO NOT MISS IT. I had 2 folks with me this time that had never been there before and they both absolutely fell in love with it as well. Most unique and wonderful vacation rental I've ever had."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As we were an extended family multi-generational group, there was something for all of us. The dock was comfortable for both hanging out and fishing. Our rental boat was easy to dock. We enjoyed the firepit and hottub and deck overlooking the lake. The kitchen was easy to use for our meals and our group all agreed that the beds were comfortable. Since our week stay had perfect weather, we didn't spend much time inside the house besides meals and sleeping but it seemed we would have been entertained on a rainy day. Kimberly answered all my questions before our arrival so that our group were ready for our stay and were able to plan a great week. The information provided by the host before and upon arrival was thorough and helpful. Would definitely recommend this property and this host for a larger group stay at Smith Mountain Lake!!"

"We had a WONDERFUL week! Pretty much slept late, spent the day paddling around on our boards and kayak with the dogs, swimming, hiking, ate dinner, took the boards and kayak back out to get pictures of sunsets and the moon (and lunar eclipse!). No laptop, no traffic, no bosses, no employees, no lawn to mow, nothing but sun, woods, water and relaxation. The house was PERFECT for us. Dog run with a nice, high fence. Beach access to the water. We even had a low enough forest fire risk rating, that we could have a small fire in the fire pit and roasted marshmallows one night. I had read that the lake levels were super low, so we brought our own inflatable “floating dock”, with a dog access ramp, that we tied to the main dock and anchored in the deeper water. Then, we tied our paddle boards and play rafts to the platform. Made a perfect water playground The dogs and humans LOVED it. The local wineries offer some really good wine options. DG Market carries more grocery options than you’d expect. The neighbors are super nice! 2 things to note: 1) The MBR has a king-sized bed, not queen, even though VRBO lists all beds as queens. 2) You cannot get Amazon shipments there, as Amazon sends them via USPS and the USPS will not deliver to the address. So, if you try and order king-sized sheets overnight, they won’t ever show up, lol. But Kohl’s is only an hour’s drive away."

"We have traveled to many lakes and this was one of the best we've been to. House was gorgeous and more than enough space for us. Water level was really low due to drought but we were able to make it work. No issues with parking as there is plenty. Everything we needed was close to the house so we were able to shop as needed. With the two kitchens there is plenty of room to feed the family. If cooking wasn't in the plan there are plenty in the area. Restaurants in the area we nice and well accommodating for our size group. If you are looking for a good time at a lake with relaxing views and plenty of room this would be the house."

"We had a fantastic stay at SML and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Even with several days of rain, we still had an amazing time thanks to the thoughtful design and setup of the house.The property was spotless when we arrived, everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The abundance of amenities made it feel like home (and then some), and we especially appreciated all the little details that showed how much care went into preparing the house for guests. From the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable furnishings and extra touches throughout, it was clear the hosts put real thought into making their guests comfortable.Jason and his team were outstanding, incredibly responsive, communicative, and helpful from booking all the way through our departure. Their quick replies and genuine care made the whole process seamless.We would absolutely recommend this property and would book with them again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
