"We had a great time. The house is lakefront and in a wonderful location. We spent most days fishing and kayaking, spent time in the hot tub, and by the fire pit. The home was cozy and warm. There are lots of stairs going down to the lake, so the young and old may have a bit more difficulty accessing the water."

"Great location for family gathering. We all had our own rooms and enough space to be together and separate when needed. Kitchen was well stocked and furniture and beds were all very comfortable. Boat house was beautiful and perfect for hanging out lakeside and for those who wanted to take a dip in the lake."

"We had the best stay here for our anniversary! Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, well equipped, and truly had everything we could ask for and more. I especially loved relaxing in the hot tub under the full moon, it was the perfect way to unwind. The neighborhood was so peaceful and quiet, which made our stay even more enjoyable.We rented a boat and loved being able to dock it right at the house, it made our lake time so convenient. The yard was perfect for our dogs to run and play in, and they enjoyed it just as much as we did.The thoughtful touches were also so appreciated, from the laundry soap, dish soap, and trash bags to even dog poop bags for our pups. It is rare to find a place that goes above and beyond like this.We could not have asked for a better getaway and will definitely be back!"

"This was the perfect stay for us! Great little efficiency apartment in the best location. The pool, hot tub and laundry in unit were spectacular. The restaurant “Tiff’s” and the little market located within the building make it feel absolutely like a resort and both had really great food. The owner, Lenora, was so kind and patient with us even as we returned late to check out. I’ve never made that mistake before and she was so understanding & sweet. Thank you so much for a great weekend! "

"(Aug. 2025): Overall, for this high price point, some surprising disappointments on arrival and during stay. Access communication received very close to check-in time included a grill "as is" disclaimer (ut-oh) and statement you'll need to bring your own propane (oops, too late - necessitating need to search locally, haul in then haul out tank rather than bring one along originally); several grills on property but only one seemed good/clean for use. Asked twice for yellow-jacket spray as there is an active nest along a walkway - owner promised to provide but did not follow through. Another trip to town needed. Unlike VBRO images, back yard is mostly dirt and landscaping is neglected. Back porch is nice, but screens need cleaning and screens are loose on both doors. Pool table sticks don't have tips and no chalk to be found. Only 1 flat TV satellite box works; others of no use unless hooking up a PC. House shows some wear and tear, but was clean, appointed and very well stocked. Excellent kid’s playroom and game room (apart from pool sticks and mostly worn-out ping-pong paddles). Docks, deep water, water toys and boats and water/views are excellent. "

"We had an incredible stay at this Smith Mountain Lake rental! Beautiful lake views!The house itself is beautifully maintained, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped, beds were super comfortable, and the outdoor balconies had Great Lake views.We also loved how close the property was to great restaurants, marinas, and local shops—everything was within a short drive, but the home still felt private and peaceful.Perfect for a family getaway or a relaxing couples’ retreat. We’re already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend!"
