"Very nice stay really enjoyed it."

"My wife and I rented the house for a summer vacation with my kids and grandson. It was better than even imagined. We also rented a pontoon boat for two days. We spent the days swimming off the dock and cruising in the boat. At night we played ping-pong, cornhole, other games and sipped wonderful cocktails. Only comment is that if you sleep in the bedrooms under the kitchen you will hear footsteps from above in the morning - solved that problem with earplugs and slept nice and late everyday!"

"Loved this unit and the location. It was so nice to be right next to the shopping center and to be able to sit on the balcony and just watch the peacefulness of the lake. Everything in the unit was perfect!Only minor thing I’d recommend is for the building to consider painting the parking spots on the wall above the spot instead of in the ground. It was very difficult to see the spot numbers due to very little lighting in the garage areas and the paint color being a light yellow."

"The property was beautiful with a great pool and dock. All ages (84 yrs to 7 months old) enjoyed hanging out by the pool. Playing pool, or sitting out on the covered deck playing games and music. Location was convenient to restaurants and grocery store."

"We had a wonderful week at Whispering Pines Estate with our family of 23! The pool was welcomed with the heat and humidity! We loved the covered porch to read and relax out of the sun! We enjoyed the large table to eat dinner together and viewing the wildlife in the evening. We had an awesome week and are looking forward to returning next year!"

"This house suited our family perfectly! We needed 4 bedrooms and the layout was perfect: first floor has 3 bedrooms, basement has 1. On the first floor to the right of the kitchen is 1 king bedroom and 1 bunk bedroom with a full bathroom (perfect for my husband and 1 who sleep in separate bedrooms), on the left of the kitchen is the master suite king bedroom with its own full bath, and off of the TV room is another full bathroom. The basement has a large games area that is delightful (but ultimately we just played boardgames at the kitchen table and sang karaoke in the TV room), and a queen bedroom suite that attaches to a laundry/ mud room. 4/5 of us had comfortable beds—I slept on the bottom bed in the bunk room and the mattress feels like it’s probably a 4” foam pad on top of bed slats, so perhaps too firm for most people (I like a firm mattress, but it was a bit stiff even for me). The bunk room deserves a fan, it gets stuffy in there (I borrowed one from the master suite, but it really should just stay in the bunk room since the other bedrooms have ceiling fans). Kitchen was great but felt sort of understocked on equipment. Also we all felt the house needed a second fridge since it was super crowded for our group of 5. All the decks were AWESOME and we looooooved our private lake access point. The view through the woods is great. Grill works well. There were enough towels, hand soap, and TP which was nice. Bed prepared for a LOT of steps! Great stay! "

"Our whole family - our three sons, their spouses and children - spent a spectacular week together at Hideaway Ridge on Smith Mountain Lake. The home, setting, facilities, and location enabled us to spend lots of time together while also providing spaces for children to play separately from adults visiting. The management team is responsive and delightful. A great place for a family vacation. "

"Tracey is extremely kind and personable, which made it hard to leave a somewhat negative review. Unfortunately, the house was not cleaned before our arrival and we had to call her to have someone come back and clean. When they did come back it was late in the evening so things were not cleaned before we went to sleep. This included bathrooms, vacuuming, kitchen dishes, and counters/floors. We requested the linen package, however most of the sheets were not clean and the bunk room only had a sheet for one bed that was not even on the bed. The bunks were described as two twin bunks. There was one small "playhouse" bunk and two other mattresses on the floor. Those mattresses appeared to be from toddler beds. I think we were the first renters they have had. The house is beautiful, but I just don't think they were ready to have renters yet. "
