"LOVED the Christmas tree! Lovely house Beds (except for bunks) were comfortable. Since we had to bring our own bedding, it should be stated that they required extra deep fitting sheets. Kitchen was well stocked, especially appliances including a blender, ice maker, Ninja pizza oven, and crock pot.The contract info stated that the total amount charged included all fees and taxes. When we notified the rental agent that we were bringing a dog, we were told that there was a 15 per day fee . When we challenged the extra fee, we were told that the fee was stated in the contract, it was just not easily seen. When we questioned that, we were told that it was the fault of VRBO, because of how they posted the listing. Window screens have not been cleaned for quite a while. The sliding door in the dining room had a note on it, do not use, off the track. The screen on the living room door was ripped and the door was scratched (dogs?) Also, that door was difficult to open from the outside due to damage. The movie/game room was outstanding. We greatly enjoyed watching Christmas movies (large selection of dvds) on the big screen! Hot tub was slimy when we first checked in, After we treated it, it was fine except that it would not heat above 99 degrees. Our washing machine broke (wouldn't drain) early in our stay. Because it was a holiday/weekend, I called the emergency #. On Monday, I again called the rental office and was told they had not checked their voice mail. "

"First off, I live here locally and I didn’t want to stay here but with the poor weather and my work requiring me to come in I decided to stay where I thought I could get out easily. Let’s start with I made the reservation online and didn’t see an area to ask for a handicap accessible room because I know they have a few rooms upstairs. When my husband went to go check in he asked if there was a handicap room accessible and he was immediately cut off and told we should have selected that online. Instead of just saying our room was already on a ground level. Now let’s get to the room. Because it was going to be down to 16 degrees when we got off he turned on the heat and then went to work so the room would be warm when we returned. We got back to the room at around 10 pm when we got off work and heard a loud noise coming from our room and it was the heater. We walk in and it was colder inside than outside. We tried to mess with it for awhile and still nothing. We tried calling the hotel and there was no answer. Luckily we brought our own blankets because there was none on the bed just 2 flat sheets on each bed and something that looked like a table cloth on the end. Not only that but as someone who came from a big city and has seen some ghetto places this is the most ghetto motel I’ve ever seen. There was no smoke detector. Only one plug that had the lamp plugged into it so we had to chose lights or charging our phones. There was a plug in the bathroom but overnight it literally"

"This property is like no other we have stayed in during our many years using VRBO. If your intent is to do something spectacular and imprint life-long memories, this, is the place for you. I could go on and on about all the amentities, technology, cleanliness and how absolutely wonderful and consistently helpful our host Craig was but there is no need. This property has an utterly unique effusive WOW factor! You will not be dissapointed."

"The host was great but we ran into several problems. We arrived at night and found the stairway lighting was not working so we had to use flashlights to get down a very steep set of stairs in pitch black to get to the house. When we tried to use water in the sink, it smelled of rotten eggs. The coffee maker had very old grinds that were totally molded so we had to sanitize the machine. That said, the bed was comfortable and the cabin was clean. I think in the height of the season, the experience may have been different. Clearly the cabin was empty for a little while which caused the issues. We alerted the host so hopefully it doesn't happen again."

"The property is conveniently located to restaurants, pharmacy and grocery store. Home was beautiful, well decorated and cozy. Totally enjoyed sitting on the front porch as well as the rockers on the back deck overlooking the woods and water."

"The home was beautiful and very clean. The view was awesome! About 10 minutes to restaurants and shops. The pillows were a bit hard for my liking. I recommend bringing your own. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I felt very at home! "

"Matt’s condo was wonderful! It was exactly as described & perfectly clean. My husband is very particular about having a HOT shower with good water pressure and he had no complaints (which is very rare). I could have sat on the patio all weekend and just enjoyed the view of the lake except the mosquitoes were a bit active when we were there… not Matt’s fault. This was our 1st trip to SML and we really enjoyed it. We would absolutely stay at this condo again."

"Great location and beautiful home. Easy walk to the water and dock has plenty of room. Appreciated the promptness in communication with the owner. Will stay again!"
