The cottage features two charming bedrooms and two bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom offers a King bed, smart TV, and a detached full bathroom. Upstairs, the spacious suite includes a King bed, two Twin beds, a smart TV, and an en suite full bathroom. This layout is perfect for small groups, two couples, or families seeking comfort and privacy.

Amenities: Our cozy cottage is designed for you to rest, relax, and recharge. Enjoy all the comforts of home, including 3 Smart TVs, Nest thermostats, a gas stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and fully stocked kitchen tools. Safety: We have a circle driveway—please pull forward onto the street rather than backing out, as Highlands’ curved roads can create blind spots. To keep wildlife away, do not leave trash or food outside overnight. We’ve provided two bear-proof trash cans for your convenience.

Pets: we welcome dogs, so your furry companion can enjoy the mountain getaway too! Please add them to the reservation.

Lovely wooded home near all things Highlands

Great property with ample room for 2. Love the restaurant across the street and proximity to downtown Highlands. Hosts were incredibly responsive. Only downside was invasion of ants in kitchen, the hosts promptly had local cleaning lady bring traps.

Great wknd cabin!

Stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it! So cute and clean and host Andreea was very responsive from my initial contact. So close to downtown, right across the street from a wine bar and close to warerfalls. Would definitely recommend!

Great cabin in Highlands!

Located less than two miles from town, the cabin is also directly across the street from, as a chef what I consider the finest restaurant in Highlands-On the Veranda!

The location is great to Main st and Falls. The house is very nice, clean and cozy. Cross street has a nice restaurant which add on for the long journey travelers. Two minutes has barbecue restaurant. We have a wedding at old Edwards farm, only 7 minutes away. highly recommended. Will go back to the house for vacation. Cozy Retreat

Great location to waterfalls and downtown Highland. Very cozy cabin with a view of Lake Sequoyah. Has all the amenities that you would ever need for a great stay. Extremely easy check in and check out.

Highland getaway

This property was perfect for our two day jaunt. For two adults, who didn't want to drive far at night for dinners, the location was perfect. It is close to town, Bridal Fall, Dry Falls, and not too far from Secret Falls.

Great 4 nights in Highlands

My sister, nephew and I had a very enjoyable time in the Author’s Cabin. The only drawback is that we were on a main road and traffic in the am was a distraction. The fireplace is very cozy and really heats the entire cabin. I would recommend it to anyone!

Waterfall getaway

We had a great trip to highlands to hike the beautiful waterfalls in the area for my teenage son’s spring break. The cabin was beautiful and minus a couple of small hiccups, was exactly what I was looking for. The front door would not lock from the outside, however it did lock from the inside and there was a second entrance. The owner was extremely responsive to my concerns and I will happily stay there again! 9/10 highly recommend!

Good location and amenities

Bedrooms very comfortable, plenty of storage space, excellently appointed kitchen. The photos of the upstairs bedroom do not do it justice! It was beautiful! There is no dining area other than stools at the kitchen bar. The location is 5 minutes drive from town and 10 min to hiking trails.

Exactly As Described

We stayed two nights and enjoyed every moment. It was close to downtown Highlands ( as well as Cashiers and other points of interest). The home was clean and well maintained. The backyard light bulbs were not working, but we had flashlights so we could take our pups outside. We would definitely stay here again (and we were not bothered by restaurant or road noise).

Convenient Stay!

We had a great stay here with 3 adults and 2 children (ages 3 and 5). The location was great...very close to town. Just know that it is on a MAIN road. Very, very close to the road. It might be better to stay here with adults or older children just because I was nervous about my kids getting out without me knowing and possibly getting into that road. So great, convenient place. Just know you are truly right on a main road with lots of traffic. Also, very easy, convenient check in and check out!
