"This is an older home which has been significantly renovated. Appliances and fixtures are new and work well. The washer dryer combination operates as expected, but seems to be installed in a crooked manner. There are some minor things that I would suggest such as putting clocks and trash cans in all the bedrooms. There are no televisions in the bedrooms. The only television is located in the living room. The remote that was provided doesn’t function very well. It seemed to lag every time a button was pushed. Also there is no cable television. You have to log into apps to watch programming. The couches in the living room are difficult to get out of. They are fairly low and soft. The house is located close to Williamsburg amenities. There is a grocery store less than a mile from the house. I sent a message to the host requesting some information, but never received a reply."

"Overall, the property was well equipped and very spacious. It was a very easy check-in and check-out process. The staff at the front desk was very accommodating and pleasant. We were there 8 days; housekeeping came in one day on just the top floor and emptied trash. We weren't sure if they were supposed to come into clean and so forth and kept thinking they might be in any day. However, we did not see them again. We spoke with the Manager on duty and let him know this. We would definitely stay here again!"
Riverfront Cottage w/ Private Beach Near Wmsburg

"What a hidden gem of a place! A gorgeous river cottage overlooking the St James River. Grateful to be immersed in a natural rural atmosphere and also so close to many things to do both at the cottage and near Williamsburg. We swam, walked the beach, kayaked and fished! A magical sun rising over the StJames River takes one’s breathe away! I understand why people come back here. It’s a very special place. Reminds me of being on a lake which reminds me of my childhood! The Ferry is close, free and reliable and only added to our experience. The topper for me was the Bald Eagle! Being situated high on the bluff the birds are eye level and Mr Eagle flew by me, fish in talons—directly in front of the cottage! A magnificent experience in many ways! The outdoor shower was also incredible during hot summer days which also helped w having 1 bathroom to share w 4 people! We will be back! Sooner than later, I hope! Host is responsive and helpful."

"Charming little cottage. The kitchen was beautiful aesthetically the house was very cute inside with upgrades and a mid century style.. The host was very communicative over text she also has like a “business partner” that lives feet away from the property who keeps an eye out for her.Overall I just wanted a long weekend away with my family to kinda get together and relax in front of the river. So it was nice although it was raining and overcast the whole time I was there, but it was still a nice experience. I hope to do it again. Whether it be this place or someplace else, as long as it’s by the water and SUNNY "

"Coming up the driveway we were thrilled to see the river view. Once we went inside the house, we thought it would be nice, but the home was spacious and nicely decorated and there was everything we needed for making our family get-together comfortable and fun. We enjoyed cooking most meals "at home," and also enjoyed going into Williamsburg on the ferry (close by) to visit Colonial Williamsburg and other sites. We all went out on the two kayaks and really enjoyed the wildlife we saw--our kids saw otters, a bald eagle, ospreys, cormorants, and other birds :-). This is our favorite vacation home so far. And the house was immaculate."
