The property was lovely, our apartment was well appointed and spacious and parking was plentiful and convenient. Fresh croissants at breakfast were a lovely treat and coupled with the ample supply of bread, yoghurt and cereal, breakfast was delicious.
Staff did give us the opportunity to meet the animals, which unfortunately we were not able to do, but we were surrounded by ducks, geese and peacocks and the Meer cats and owls (housed close to the apartments) were delightful to watch.
We did notice the aircraft noise obviously, but they didn't keep us awake and we did not need to use the complimentary ear plugs.
Our only suggested improvements would be:
- Turn on the heating before guest arrival.
Our suite was very cold and took several hours to warm up; we had to wear coats and sit under a blanket until we left for dinner at 7.p.m.
- Tumble dry the towels.
(and perhaps invest in bath sheets?) The towels were quite small and very rough on the skin. At luxury accommodations like this, fluffy, soft towels are more appropriate.
- Address the random wires in the wall.
The lovely decor was slightly lessened by two random cables coming out of the wall/ceiling going nowhere. It was clearly not a safety issue, but just looked a bit odd, considering the high standard to which the apartment had been finished.
Overall, a lovely stay in a picturesque setting with friendly staff and adorable animals.
