"This is a HOSTEL, not hotel. We probably wouldn't have booked here if we would have known before. The front desk is on the first floor, the staff helps with heavy luggage. During our stay, breakfast was changed from buffet style to plates (which had to be chosen the day before)"

"We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. The hotel, outdoor onsen, and woodsy surroundings were all excellent. The building is old and reminded me of the railroad lodges of the western United States: creaky old doors and floors, metal keys, and rotary dial phones. Other than the hotel, there are no restaurants nearby (that I know of) and dinner is an elaborate kaiseki ryori that requires...

"Customer service was excellent. I was so tired from my day that I slept right past my private onsen reservation, but they adjusted the time so that I could have my first onsen experience. A very nice hotel. ありがとうございました！"

"Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel is is pretty new clean and very close to the station. Did not use the onsen but looks very nice. We would definitely stay again if in the area. Short 10 minute walak to the main area with loads of restaurants and shops."

"We took japanese style bedroom but the futons were super thin so uncomfortable. The private onsen was a bit smelly making the experience less enjoyable. For the travel to reach the place, we struggle little to go by bus. For the positive, the staff was amazing and helpful, the breakfast has lot of varieties for everyone. The room was super clean, spacious and very beautiful. Spending time with dogs around was lovely... what an amazing concept hotel."
