Right across the street from a subway station we used frequently. We did have to pay a destination tax which came out to $40 per day, just a heads up,"

"Funky rooms decorated in old furniture with very comfortable beds. A good group of guests. A great location in an extremely crowed city. Near to the park along the river for the views and walking or running. Many good restaurants nearby and easy to get a cab in any direction. The only thing to be careful of are the wood floors. The wood has been painted and have a waxy effect and the old rugs are worn and lay on thin rubber mats, all of which catch on the rubber soles of sneakers and shoes. It is easy to trip or fall at least once a day. A little dangerous and should be removed. Also, the small wood edge that once held a fire screen by the fireplace is also painted black and invisible until you trip on it."

"Location and views are excellent. It’s at the heart of the Meatpacking district. Next to the Whitney and shopping. Room has floor to ceiling windows and running views of the NJ skyline. The restaurants are all charming. The Grill and the bakery cafe and bar. There is a night club on the roof. The breakfast is included and is both sit down or takeaway. The room is charming and the bed comfortable. The bathroom has a tub and a shower stall with separate toilet. The minibar is well stocked."

"Small, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff, clean showers, and a shocking amount of storage for luggage and other things. But if you are a light sleeper this isn’t the stay for you, and when they have events on the upper levels they block the elevators off for those guests, so it’s not always easily accessible!"
