Great location!

Great location! Quiet area and short walk to the beach. Clean! Great communication. The alarms on the door was a con because the wire kept coming out making it go off! Other than that great stay!

Solo vacay

I loved my stay here! They had everything I needed and was clean inside and out. It was a short walk to the beach, Publix, and a strip of shops/restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Felt completely safe staying during my solo vacation!

beautiful room on the beach!

My 20-year-old daughter and I spent spring break at Villa 2 - Shrimp and had a wonderful stay! Accommodations were newly-renovated, super clean, close to the beach and an easy walk to Publix and other shops/cafes. We appreciated having our own parking spot right beside our little bungalow; a beach chair; a place to hose off after walking back from the beach; and a lovely shared backyard pool. Other guests using the pool were friendly and respectful. Despite the busy-ness of the island at this time of the year, our little spot was quiet and private - loved that! The alarm system attached to the front door was cumbersome to use, but other than that, we thought everything was great and would return in a heartbeat.

Cannot beat this location!

We absolutely loved our stay here and will be back! Everything about this place was great! They had great amenities! Chairs and wagon for the beach, along with beach towels! The pool was so relaxing and warm! The room stayed cool and we slept great. Just what we needed for a quick getaway!

Relax

We came here to relax and rest. It was exactly what we were looking for. Pool, close to beach and the free trolley can take you anywhere you might want to go on the island. 😎☀️🏝️

Perfect and cozy

The Shrimp was perfect for our one-week vacation. Close to the beach and the stores (grocery, pharmacy, restaurants). Very quiet neighborhood. We felt safe.

Great property and customer service!

My husband and I stayed at Shrimps for a spring break vacation March 2024. We had a great time and the location could not be beat! 2 min walk to the beach. This is a studio, so compact, but had all that we needed as we spent a majority of our time outside, walking on the beach, going to restaurants and shopping! All that we needed for week stay. I would definitely recommend and look forward to our next vacation adventure!

Quiet beach getaway

What a gem tucked away and close to the beach! The small bungalow was perfect for my wife and I -and our small dog! For a small space it works pretty well, the bathroom is a bit tight but manageable. Could use an extra coffee mug and towels -but otherwise perfect!

Mini Getaway

The “shrimp” was a really great place to stay. Pool was great and the walk to the beach was very short. A few downfalls was there no storage space for your suitcase or a rack to atleast place your luggage. The kitchen has no utensils to cook with or pots or pans. The bathroom was too small and everything gets wet in there when showering. Still had a good time. Just can’t stay too long

Close To EVERYTHING

Great spot! Maybe 5 doors down from beach....across street from Publix, Walgreens, Pizza place, Chinese, shopping. Quiet. Gorgeous lanscaping. Warm pool!![end of march] Perfect! Clean. Hiccup when we tried to check in...Apt 2 is not labeled clearly =Highly recommend a Numeral 2 on the gate. Very cute. New. Could use a shelf or 2 in bath for toiletries. Would definitely return!!

Cute little shrimp shack

The “shrimp” was the perfect little place for my husband and I for a four night get away. The location is great, it’s a short two block walk to a lovely beach that wasn’t overly crowded. The back and front yard areas that are shared with the other units is well kept and the heated pool and outdoor furniture is a nice touch! The house came with two beach chairs, a small cooler, a beach umbrella and a wagon to cart everything to the beach. I’m not sure if these are amenities that are part of the house or items that others have left behind but it did look like every unit had them. It would have been helpful if this information was in the property description listing as we almost rented them before arriving. The unit also had a hair dryer, toaster, coffee maker and basic amenities to get you started (shampoo, dish washer tabs, trash bags). The design of the shower wasn’t thought out very well - the shower “door” is a half glass “door” but the pressure from the shower head soaks the whole bathroom. You can definitely tell by the looks of the wooden bathroom door that this is an ongoing issue as it seems to be water logged. We had to put a towel down during the shower in addition the to mat used to dry your feet so we didn’t fall. The bed and pillows aren’t the the most comfortable but not the worst either. The unit could use some more wall decor to bring it to life a little more. The biggest complaint is that we felt rushed out of the unit the morning of check out. The property management company sends you a text the day before reminding you that check out is at 10am and cleaners will arrive at 10:10 to begin cleaning the unit. We were packing up last minute items when we heard someone trying to open the unit door at 9:40 - it was the cleaner. When I answered the door, I told her we were still packing up and would be leaving shortly, she again reminded me of 10:00am. She didn’t attempt to ring the door bell or knock either, she assumed we weren’t there for some reason (even though the property management company texts you and asks you to let them know if you leave early and to text them when you’ve checked out) and began letting herself in. I advised the property manager of this issue who apologized advised they’d let the supervisor know.

Small but mighty

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay- the location of the Shrimp Hut was walkable to dining, groceries, and close enough to the beach to go back and forth for potty breaks. Full kitchen and outdoor shared space with pool made up for the small unit, which essentially was like a hotel suite room.

Great stay

Great location, cute room, loved the pool. The room was missing some basic things like a full length mirror and towel rack. The full size kitchen didn’t make sense for the size of the room but we did use the fridge. I’d probably book a larger unit next time. Oh - please provide more towels or laundry service for people staying more than one night.
