Traditional 3 bed terraced cottage in picturesque Holmfirth, with amazing views over Brownhill Reservoir all year round. Perfect setting for a romantic break, or peaceful getaway with family or friends. Ideal for walking and cycling to explore the local countryside. Walking distance to local pubs with incredible food. Unique location and convenient for access to Holmfirth with its array of amenities.

The cottage is furnished to a high standard and is equipped with all you could need for your stay including high speed internet connection, well equipped kitchen with large modern cooker, private garden with bbq and secure storage for bicycles. Sleeps/houses 5 adults/4 adults & 2 kids. 1 king, 1 double & 1 twin bedroom (single & pull out trundle bed).

Travel cot, high chair and bumbo for babies and monitor for home working also available on request. Please let us know of any special occasions or requests, which can be offered at an additional charge.

The cottage has parking directly in front of the door for ease of access.

The cottage is sanitised after every stay to safeguard against the spread of COVID-19.

Beautiful cottage

Cosy, well-equipped cottage in a stunning location. Lovely views of the reservoir from all the windows at the front of the property. It feels remote yet is only a few minutes from town so offers the best of both worlds. The host, Marie, was easy to get hold of and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were very pleased with our stay. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable.The location is lovely overlooking the reservoir. We had a little difficulty putting the code in the ground level lock box. We enjoyed using the outside table on the patio

Wonderful cottage

My mother, two adult children, myself and dog had a restful stay at Martha's cottage. It is beautifully decorated, in a quiet location, with glorious views and extremely comfortable. Also - very friendly and helpful neighbours were a definite bonus!

Wonderful Cottage

Martha's Cottage is beautiful, in a peaceful location with lovely views over the reservoir. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need plus little extras. We wish we could have stayed longer. Loved it that much we've booked again for next year.

Long weekend break.

Property was in an amazingly location, overlooking the reservoir. Perfect base, visited cannon hall farm and the carding shed. And of course Holmfirth. Perfect few days.

Stunning location

Very well equipped and tastefully decorated cottage with amazing views over the reservoir and Holme valley. Local walks and places to eat are convenient. Only one thing wasn’t quite perfect. The key safe is near the ground and hard to access for those of us who aren’t as mobile as we used to be. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay.

Martha’s Cottage

This is a cozy, comfortable Yorkshire terraced cottage! I was here alone for most of the month of March. The cottage is fully furnished with everything one might need. The hosts, Marie and Dan were super helpful, and so easy to contact! I would greatly recommend this place, if you are looking to explore S. Yorkshire!

What an truly incredible cottage: stunning views, great neighbours and some wonderful walks. The cottage was immaculate, well maintained and very well equipped. Cosy and comfortable - everything we needed was there. There is even underfloor heating in the downstairs shower room! Marie and Dan are very approachable and have a little piece of heaven at Martha’s Cottage.

Amazing property with friendly neighbours.

Martha's Cottage has the friendliest neighbours I have ever met! Property in modern and cosy with wonderful views. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need for a short stay. No problem parking. Full instructions for everything you need such as washing machine & cooker. Wonderful walks nearby and Holmfirth is a quirky rural town just 5 mins in the car. Recommend a visit to The Pantry at The Fleece Inn at Holme for tasty pastries & Compo's in Holmfirth for Fish and Chips.

Lovely location

Wow absolute gorgeous location! The property overlooks a water reservoir and all these fields and hills and it's just beautiful. The property itself is really nice and to a high standard. It's very clean as well. You can tell there's been plenty of money invested in the place. It's all too a high standard. A comfy bed, lots of modern branded appliances and a nicely finished kitchen and bathroom. The property is actually three floors high with the top floor veing a loft conversion. The windows in the loft conversion are huge!! You get great views in bed of the sky at night and all the local countryside in the morning. It's great. I really don't know what else to say in recommending this cottage. As for negatives, I can't think of many. There's a path you drive round to get to where you park and it is a bit tight for room. I own a Honda CRV which is a big car. I managed it but it was a bit tight, especially in the dark where the path isn't that well lit either. I can't think of any other negatives to add tbh. Hopefully one day we'll go back to this place again. Oh and if you do visit, I highly recommend you go to the fleece inn pub which is just over half a mile away. The food is fantastic!

Lovely cottage, beautiful views

We had a lovely few days at Martha's cottage. The place is really comfortable and was very clean The views particularly from the attic room are fabulous.The cottage is very well equipped and lacked nothing. Thank you for the tea !The extra shower room was a real bonus.We did lots of great dog walks from the doorstep and a short drive in to holmfirth.Overall a really relaxing comfortable few days and would love to visit again.Thanks Marie and Dan

Good Cottage

It was a lovely stay and local area was nice. I recommend the pickled pheasant pub. The bike shed was full so we couldn’t use it unfortunately. The house was very cozy with lots of blankets, nice stay. Great views too.

Short family break

We hadn’t appreciated what a gorgeous location this property was in. The view from the front of the cottage over the reservoir is gorgeous, and a first floor reading nook is so cosy and gives the feeling of being by the sea side! The property is really tastefully decorated, making it feel like a home from home. The check in process was really smooth and easy to understand. The weather during our visit was terrible but we would love to come back again with better weather to take advantage of all the local area has to offer. Would definitely recommend.
