"Overall good hotel. Nice private beach for hotel. The pool area is also nice but needs more chairs for relaxing. They have more tables for dining which were have empty but the pool chairs were always full or taken. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I would return to this hotel because it’s in a great location if you don’t have a car. Many places within walking distance to eat and shop."

"The room we stayed in was clean and had a cozy, home-like feeling. The living room, kitchen, and bedroom were all very clean and well maintained. The thing we loved most was the beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The property was well maintained, with parking that was easily accessible from the main road. It was also just a five-minute walk to the main town, where we found plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. The host communicated clearly via text and through the app regarding the rules and expectations. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend this property!"
Fabulous Kona Reef Resort Ocean Front - Penthouse Floor - 2 BR/2 BA Condo

"This listing was even more impressive than the photos show! It is clean and the views are amazing! My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teens) fit very well in the space. There are two bathrooms and 2 bedrooms with a pull out couch in the living room. The kitchen is well stocked and has ample counter space. The AC units worked great, even when the temperatures were in the mid 80s. The grills at the pool side are clean and easy to use. We ate all our meals on the lani and enjoyed the view. From the lani you can see tropical fish in the waves below and top notch boogie boarders showing you their tricks. The beach below is great for a morning or evening dip, but you do need to be aware of the tides and your exit strategy. If you are thinking a long beach day with easy water access I would head up the coast to Hapuna Beach or Kua Bay. Just know there is a 10 parking 5/person fee. If your family is more adventurous there are some beautiful hike in beaches that are much more secluded. Back to the property, the pool and hot tub were the perfect place to wind down and watch the sun set after a day of exploring the island. The house is as easy walk to down town Kona's resturantants and farmers market (definitely use the alley way near the beach). Finally, the house came with beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, coolers and even 2 boogie boards. The host James was very accommodating and his communication was top notch! I could not agree more with this condo's 5 star rating!"

"Fantastic location and nice condo. The lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms was a little bothersome and minor things missing were an ice maker in the freezer and a water filter or even filtering pitcher so we wouldn’t have had to purchase bottled water. However, I think it was an excellent value, and it’s hard to be too unhappy about minor inconveniences when you’re on vacation in paradise! Lots of great restaurants and cute little shops and a farmers market within walking distance were wonderful and the views from the condo were spectacular. It was cool to watch the surfers and the people were very friendly. Almost every evening at the pool there was a beautiful sunset ceremony where two older gentlemen (permanent residents at the property) played conch shells facing all directions. I highly recommend taking a private helicopter tour—- well worth the drive to Hilo. Flying over active volcanos and landing at a waterfall was an unforgettable experience. I also highly recommend going on a stargazing tour and seeking out some of the “off the beaten path” beautiful beaches. Mahalo!"

"Location was excellent, walked to luau at Kona Reef and restaurants. The condo was equipped with everything you could need. Air conditioning was a plus since it was humid during our visit.We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and being able to see the water. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again."
