"By the description of the property I was was hoping for an amazing experience. The house exterior looked like it was in need of clean up. It just looked like the construction crew left and no one did detail cleaning Our room was on the upper level. It was called the Star room. Apparently there was a methane gas leak somewhere, as our room, the entire stay smelled like an unflushed toilet. It was a lingering odor. We had fans in the room, which helped. The house has this lovely weather vane on the top of the roof, which rotated with the wind. Unfortunately, it needed greasing! It squeaked and made noise all night! I was never able to speak directly to the management. I could only leave a message, and I was never called back. So, if you do rent at this VRBO, be aware,, no management will be of any help. "

We were on site for a hour before we were given the remedy to the “door sticking” problem - which we were unaware was even a problem - and could access the property (after being told that we were in a different room on the property and being given the access code to that room also). "We just spent 31 nights in Jan/Feb 2026 celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary. The location was perfect for exploring all the keys. We even drove up to Miami Beach one day and was easy to get back before sunset. The location was great for day trips to Key West, getting there in less than 45 minutes. The house is on a very quiet dead-end road. There is a convenience store within 2 miles and a Winn-Dixie within 5 miles. The bird life and key deer on the beach were amazing. The heated pool was so nice and well maintained. The large washer and dryer were very nice. The Kitchen had everything we needed. The place was relaxing. Greg was very helpful and attentive. We would give this place more than 5 stars if we could."

"The house is sufficient for 2 couples, 3 in a pinch (with only 2 showers) and 2 (only) moderately sized vehicles. It was clean, kitchen sufficient for cooking. Host responsive. Exterior furniture needs some TLC but nothing that prohibited us from having a nice time. Boat dock ok for 23' boat. Decent high tide launch on the other side of island. Take your own Roku for any tv beyond basic Xfinity cable. Internet not stable some times, may just be what is available on Little Torch"
