"Carol is very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Room and bathroom were clean and bed was comfortable. The front porch and yard were kept nice and inviting. The seasonal Halloween decoration inside the property was outstanding. This was our first time staying in Bed N Breakfast facility so I'd compare with my experiences with Hotels. Though I've chosen their best and only room with balcony, I felt cramped in the room, there wasn't much space around the queen size bed. A 19 inch TV was on the dressing table and a small table fan. Though the balcony was nice and wooded view was decent the screen were very dirty. Evening wine was good served with cheese, crackers and grapes. Night hot water and assortments of tea bags as well as morning coffee were decent. If I go back there, I would definitely consider this place again."

"My friends and I loved staying at the NOOK. It is very charming. The home has all the essentials you will need for a home away from home stay. It is just a short walk away to parks, tours, shopping, wine tasting, restaurants, bars or anything else you want to do. When coming home after a busy day in Galena, you can wind down in the hot tub which is amazing, with a beverage of choice and then all gather in the cozy living room for a good movie. I recommend the Nook to anyone that’s needs a relaxing time away from home. I give the NOOK 5 stars "
