"Having recently stayed at Langley Castle, I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. My wife and I travel extensively, and it is rare that you find somewhere where you immediately 'feel at home'. This is largely due to the genuine and warm hospitality shown by all of the staff throughout our stay. On top of this the breakfast and service in the restaurant was outstanding and certainly befitting of such a special hotel. The tour of the castle is not to be missed either. Our room, which was in the main castle itself was very impressive with a magnificent 4 poster bed and had a real feel of grandeur. Despite having exposed stone walls the room was extremely clean and free from dust which must be a real challenge in such an old building. Overall, a wonderful stay and we will be back. Highly recommended."

"The bedroom was excellent,clean well furnished and appointed. The only small criticism was that there was a lack of comfortable space away from the restaurant space and bar but as we were only staying one night this didn’t matter too much. The breakfast was excellent and the bar food,whereas it was well prepared, was a little limited in choice. We would however stay again."

"The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It is set in a beautiful, quiet location very close to the path of Hadrians Wall. We had a fantastic time exploring all the Roman ruins close by (Vindolanda, the Roman Army Museum and Homesteads). Thank you for a fantastic stay."

"What a find! This was the perfect place to tick Hadrian’s Wall off our Australian family’s bucket list. The fairly remote setting gave us peace and wild skies. Valerie was so friendly and helpful and had excellent tips of where to go and what to do. The cottage was superbly well appointed and cosily warm. Thank you, Valerie! "
