"The property was phenomenal and very clean. The only difficultly was the one bathroom but we definitely managed just fine. As far as a recommendation for the host, put a view of the mountains from the back yard in the listing because it was beautiful. The property is definitely worth staying in and would be great for kids because the back yard is large. We went back and fourth to the north cascades and it was about an hour so great location as well. Overall 5 stars. Thanks"

"Overall, we had a really cool experience and would absolutely recommend it. How many people get to say they've camped in the heart of the North Cascades? It was definitely a memorable trip. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is just a couple of communication issues that could be easily improved. I had some trouble receiving the check-in email (which may have been a technology issue), and once I received it, I wish it had included a reminder to check for any burn bans before purchasing firewood. We bought firewood and s'mores supplies before arriving, only to find there was a burn ban in effect. The other suggestion is regarding check-in. The instructions clearly explained how to retrieve the keycard from the lockbox but didn't mention that you also need to take the key for the A-frame cabin. We left it behind because we didn't want to take something meant for another guest, only to arrive and realize we needed it. Neither issue ruined our stay, and both are easy fixes. Overall, this was a unique and memorable experience in a beautiful location."

"Our family had a great stay at this home. Reservation and check-in process was easy. Great communication with host who was always available to answer questions and provide recommendations on what to do and where to dine. Property was clean and the view is incredible. We loved exploring the river on the property, walking the grounds, and watching the little bunnies and hummingbirds. We used the outdoor firepit which was nice on chilly summer evenings. Kitchen was great and had everything we needed to cook our dinners (we got most of our groceries in Anacortes on the drive to the house but there is a little grocery nearby in Darrington if you need to restock on a few things). The nearby "Brew with a View" and the little drive-thru stand by the Shell Station have amazing coffee. Thank you for having us - definitely recommend this home."
