Close to the beach and the harbour. Not far to walk to same nice restaurants . The Staff at the hotel were lovely, but the hotel is in needs of refurbishment.

Creepiest night ever
So the photos are absolutely the opposite of the hotel no idea where they got theirs from. The lady at check in was lovely and helpful which was basically the only good thing about the hotel. The rooms were dated but with new furniture, and the bathroom was modern. The hotel was like a maze, carpet was dated and stained and there was desperate need of upkeep. We went out for dinner and came back, the hotel stank of weed completely, and it was extremely strong. When we got into bed my boyfriend and I heard the strangest noises like screeching metal and squeaking and no it was not a pipe/hinge and as the door lock looked reasonably weak we decided to get the hell out of dodge. The night porter was strangely defensive when I told him why we were leaving and honestly felt like we were in the plot of a Stephen King horror film. If you’re into that then you’ll love this hotel.

A pleasant stay
The Hotel is very old and the decor represents that but the staff are so lovely and pleasant that you forget about the interior. We had breakfast aswell and we couldn't fault it, it was buffet style so you could help yourself and plenty of choices, the scrambled eggs were amazing. An ok hotel but the staff 100%.

Apart from SOLID RAIN For 5 days , everything else was OK. TIDY HOTEL , WALKABLE TO HARBOUR. BUS STOP OUTSIDE .. No complaints.

Hotel is old and in bad need of update. Staff were excellent and made up for disappointment. Breakfast was excellent also and bed was clean and comfortable. Would not recommend unless you just want to crash out overnight.

The hotel was easy to find, excellent position on sea front. Efficient welcome on arrival. Simple single Room was well arranged and had everything I needed for my walking trip. Plenty of hot water, good lighting, easy to recharge phone etc, window I could open and a comfortable bed. Good, simple basic accommodation no unnecessary frills! Thank you

The staff were friendly, and tried to satisfy to our need and requests. The only thing I would consider to see improved is the vegetarian offers. And a varietybof eggs, not only scramble eggs every day. Beside that, no worries! We would stay in this hotel again if we have opportunity. Thank you to all.

Stafff friendlly. Overall hotel and the room we had needed updating and some tlc applied. Restaurant was more inviting and the breakfast we had there was good. Fine for the one night we stayed, wouldn’t want to have done longer certainly in the room we had. Felt slightly over priced based purely based on condition of property.

Room 4 was rubbish, holes in the carpet. Cracks in the walls and ceiling, windows filthy, the bathroom looked like it was fitted in the 1960's with poor repairs to the tiles. Furniture looked like it came from a secondhand store.

The staff at this property are very welcoming & can’t do enough for you. However the price paid & the quality received was not worth it. We paid £90 for a double room with breakfast midweek. Upon entering the room we were overwhelmed with the smell of damp even though the window had been opened. You could tell it had recently been repainted as the paint was falling off the walls where it was so damp. The hotel is old and the decor is a bit dated but that was fine. It was a big hotel with plenty of space. The bed in the room did not seem like a double more of a 3/4 double. The tv remote was covered in dust and dirt. The shower was not very powerful and took ages to get hot and the entrance to the shower was incredibly small. If I was pregnant or of a bigger size there is no way I could’ve got in that shower. Breakfast the next morning was fine and average and all the food was ok. Overall this hotel was fine for one night, however did think it was overpriced. But the staff are very lovely.
