"Very sweet place, well thought out and tended to. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The cabin is said to house 6 to 8 but honestly you'd be comfortable with a max of 4 to 5. Great opportunities for fun right on the property - fire pit, hammock, porch swing and a little catch and release pond. General store a few miles away."

"Very beautiful property. Private. Horses were a bonus. Near several attractions. We’re from a more urban area so the only thing we didn’t love about the area is food and groceries were farther away than we are used to but that’s just the area. Host was accommodating. Next time I’d come more prepared to make more meals at the home. Garden of the Gods and Rim Rock were great!"

"We were two families renting and appreciated the amount of bedrooms offered and amount of beds. We found everything we needed in the kitchen while cooking. Cleaning up after meals was easy with the dishwasher available. The fire pit was great for campfire s'mores with plenty of firewood available. We would have liked a bigger grill outside, but made do without one. The hot tub was a great way to end the night. The host left simple instructions. Check out was super easy. The entire property is well maintained and clean."
Unique 1970s Round House w/ Hot Tub

"When we arrived my wife ran over to the tree line by the pond and counted 27 kinds of birds in 10 minutes with her app (Merlin). In the evening we got a bullfrog serenade, and at night the hot tub overlooked a sea of fireflies floating like stars in the meadow. The location is close by Garden of the Gods, High Knob, Rim Rock, and about 30-40 mins from Jackson Falls, Bell Smith, and a winery. It's on a gravel road, and the tiny bridge on one of the roads from the east is a little collapsed, so no sports cars but SUV and sedan are fine. My only knocks are that I don't know why the main bedroom did not have a king size bed, we had minor issues with a burner on the stove not turning off, and I wish they had mentioned that the grill is charcoal and you need to bring your own. Overall, we loved our stay and next time we come to Shawnee we'll stay here. Perfect for couples who enjoy the outdoors."
