Traditional whitewashed fisherman's cottage overlooking Loch Fyne

Traditional stone terraced cottage with outstanding views over Loch Fyne to Castle Lachlan and Inver Cottage. Sleeps four comfortably.

The cottage is situated in an ideal location for visiting the Argyll area. Whether you like walking, cycling, sailing or fishing there's something for everyone. Walk in the footsteps of ancient Scottish Kings, cycle along the Crinan Canal or fish on the Loch. Or for something more relaxing, visit Fyne Ales at the top of Loch Fyne and sample their craft beers and visit the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar to taste some exceptional Scottish smoked salmon and oysters.

Free slipway for launching small boats / kayaks nearby. The cottage is twelve miles south of Inverarary (Castle/Jail/Whisky/Restaurants/Beer Garden). Lots of easy low level walks and cycling routes nearby. For more demanding walks the Arrochar Alps are forty minutes away (eg The Cobbler).
If you have time take a day trip to the islands of Gigha or Arran (brewery and distillery).

Visit Oban (and perhaps Mull) or Tarbert (great fish and chips). However, a visit to Kilmarten Glen with its many prehistoric sites and Dunadd Fort is a must and is just a 30 minute drive away.

Go further afield and visit Campbeltown or the Mull of Kintyre, made famous in the song by Paul McCartney and Wings.

The cottage has recently been extended to include a sitting / dining area adjacent to the kitchen.

The cozy lounge has views to the loch and features a modern wood burning stove.

Bedroom 1 has a King sized bed with a memory foam mattress with views out to the loch. Look out for the fish farm boats heading south in the morning.

The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with 10.5kW electric shower.

Recently modernised throughout including new modern electric heaters.

Large garden area to front and rear of property. A firepit is available for use on a summer's evening to keep the chill and the midges at bay!

On property parking with space for up to two cars. Easy access from Glasgow by bus if not travelling by car.

Very comfortable cottage
We loved the location of this cottage, with its beautiful view over Loch Fyne. Everything inside was stylish, clean and in good condition, making us feel comfortable and at home. Gordon replied immediately to two minor queries we had. Thank you! Shopping is easy at the two Co-ops (Inverary and Lochgilphead). We bought petrol at the Tesco filling station in Lochgilphead. Ours was only a short stay but we managed to see many of the the sites in Kilmartin Glen (our main reason for coming to the area). We also visited Inverary and the magnificent Himalayan Gardens at Crarae.

Spacious cottage in a lovely relaxing location.tion
The cottage was perfectly situated to explore the Oban and Inveraray area, as well as Kintyre. There are local walks and Kilmartin Glen is close by too. The cottage is spacious and well equipped to cook basic meals. The only slight drawbacks were the bathroom is downstairs and blackout blinds would have helped in the bedroom. I would highly recommend this cottage as a place to stay.

Well equipped - very helpful communication
The cottage was very well equipped, clean and attractive.. The communication from the owner was helpful and informative. The welcome pack was a lovely choice and much appreciated. Unusually it was a very hot weekend, and a fan would have been helpful to have. We bought one.
