"1. We asked for a wakeup call and never got one. 2. Outlets didn't work in the room so had a hard time finding a plug to use the kettle. 3. Had to leave early because the electricity was going to be turned off from 10am to 12pm Very disappointing, we use this hotel at least once a year."

"I really enjoyed the Breakfast. They had local specialties to try, which were delicious, in addition to the usual hot breakfast buffet - Haggis, Smoked Haddock, fried soda bread and Black pudding. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I had full length mirrors that allowed me to prepare for my conference. I would stay again"

"Stayed for one night without breakfast. Room was a good size and shower was good. Surprised no flannels in the bathroom and had to request teabags and milk as there were only 4 coffee pods and 1 packet of hot chocolate in the room. The hotel is listed as luxury and at 250 ponds for 1 night without breakfast I was dissapointed"

"The long driveway builds great expectation, unfortunately, that’s where it stops. Overall the hotel is in desperate need of a full renovation. I believe I stayed in Woodlands, light bulbs were missing, mould on the windows and significant paint peeled off the bathroom windows. The carpet looked like it needed a thorough deep clean. The pool area was served by great friendly staff, if only that service was carried over o to the bar area and the breakfast staff. The pool area again, but s in need of a refresh, the roof is in poor condition with lots of rust visible. The evening meal was mediocre at best, The Hake was turning grey and the service was very inattentive even though the bar area was very quiet. However, the service from reception from check in and check out was great, just a shame about the rest."

"Wasn’t sure about the property when we checked in. The person behind the counter seemed to be a trainee. But we found the hotel clean safe with good breakfast and adjacent car park in s very nice area of Gkasgow"

"The guest house was excellent except others using it were not. Signs are needed to close doors quietly as front door bangs very loudly. Those leaving also banged their doors. Arguments in hall in middle of night was awful. I understand this is not owners fault but signage asking to be respectful of others may help. We were wakened at 2am till 4am with the noise. No concern over room which was great."
