"I had an amazing stay at Hame Hotel on the Isle of Skye. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and well organized, making our stay very easy. The location is stunning and very central for exploring the island. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They have a great common area with an honesty bar that is well stocked. "The place is older and hasn't seen the best of maintenance in recent years it seems. The door to the bathroom in our room did not close due to misalignment. The shower stall had mold in the corners. The room itself smelled and felt damp. Nobody on site to complain to so we lived with it. Considering our experience and what was paid we would not come back unless other options were booked up. Yes the place is cheaper than a lot in the area however it was still overpriced in our eyes."

"This property was so unique with such an amazing view. Unfortunately availability of food and beverage was not what we expected. The bar closed earlier than listed and when we asked hotel staff if we could buy a glass of wine, we were told no. A small shop in the lobby with bottles of water, wine, snacks would have been a great addition. Also, one of the 2 saunas was broken, only one bathrobe provided per room and there was a broken shower shelf."

"Uig Hotel was excellent. We had a lodge room on the first floor. It had a very large window so you can make the most of the amazing view The staff were great, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had our dog with us so ate breakfast and dinner in the bar. The food was really good -with a good selection of fresh sea food."

"The room is clean but small. We could smell the coffee from our room when breakfast begins at 7pm. There is no refrigerator in our room, which is fine for us, as it is not hot summer yet. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant downstairs is terrific - we had the dinner and every dish was very well prepared, e.g. the authentic Scottish Grille, the black tempura pudding. The view in front of the dining room is amazing - either on light rainy day or blue sunny sky. Only wish the parking lot is bigger and the room is more updated."

"Very well presented property, stunning surroundings. Communication from the owner was very poor, no response to any messages prior to my stay and I had to ring to find out which cabin I was stopping in and how to collect my keys. This was by far the most expensive accommodation I’ve booked while working in and around the whole of Scotland for the last 3 year and I would have expected the check in to be flawless for the price paid."
