"We stayed only one night at Lagarta Lodge to kick off our vacation in Nosara and I didn’t want to leave! The property is absolutely stunning with a very special view from high up looking out to the ocean, that other hotels in the area don’t have available to them. We did a biological reserve tour and a couples massage and they both were highlights of our entire trip. The food was also our top favorite meals. The staff is so attentive and kind, and easy to get in contact with instantly via WhatsApp. We really did feel like VIP. Would 1000% stay again and recommend anyone else to at least spend a couple of nights at Lagarta Lodge while in Nosara. "

"This is an amazing property in a very peaceful setting away from the hustle bustle of tourists. The pool area and the grounds overall are absolutely stunning! They have a beach club which is a few steps down from the property and that was the perfect walk for us every day. They also have golf carts to take you there if you don’t care to walk. The service was impeccable. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and I had asked them to put some flowers and a bottle of winner in our room when we checked in. They went over and above and decorated the room with balloons and even brought us cake :) The food was great too, especially the breakfast! My only complaint was the age of the rooms. They are a little dated. But the staff said that they are going to kick off a remodel soon. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful start at this place! Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful stay in Costa Rica!"

"This place was the highlight of our trip! The room was spacious and clean. The property grounds were immaculate and gorgeous! The staff was helpful and friendly and the food was delicious! The pool overlooking the sea was awesome! Samara is a short drive away and the beach is within walking distance from the property! We highly recommend this place! "

"Excellent hotel, excellent location. Super spacious bedroom (deluxe room), great bed, quiet AC and ceiling fan, mini kitchen with free coffee power, spacious bathroom counter, good shower, very tasty à lá carte breakfast, just few minutes walk from the main shops and stores, and very close to the beach. The sister property, The Harmony Hotel, is just across the street where you can take yoga classes in a serene and peaceful atmosphere, and use their sauna and cold punges (all paid separately but Sunset Shack guests have a discounted rate). We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back."
