Sultanhan Hotel - Special Class

"The Sultanhan is in a perfect location to walk to everywhere we wanted to go, yet it is set back off a main street to escape the noise of a bustling city. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The free breakfast on the top floor was awesome and provided wonderful views. We ate there enough days that the staff began to recognize us and on the last day, they surprised my husband with a free omelet (that item was an extra charge on their buffet) which was very nice. What makes this hotel stand out is the front desk staff, particularly Engin. He was so darn helpful and friendly! We wanted to take the ferry over to the Asian side of Istanbul and talked to Engin about how to go about it. He loaned us his ferry card that we could put money on to make the transfer back and forth easier. That was immensely helpful and appreciated! One of our tours was late picking us up and the staff went out of his way to find out what was going on and resolved the issue. Engin also booked a night boat excursion for us. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and experience with Sultanhan!"

"The restaurant and cafe staff seemed unhappy and the level of service was poor. Only liked the room and bathroom is decent, however had no bath tub or dressing table to get ready. Spa facilities are great. Overall wouldn’t stay again, wasn’t welcomed or made feel special for our wedding anniversary. Has a good Indian restaurant called Madhu’s but the staff doesn’t understand basic English. Poor service too."

"Great location right in the heart of Taksim. Our room had an amazing view, which was definitely the highlight of our stay. While the room was a bit small for two people, the stunning view more than made up for it. A special thank you to our housekeeper, Bedriye, who was incredibly kind and kept our room spotless every day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!"

"Everything was great. The only thing I can only complain about it is that the AC in my room wasn’t working. I went there to her surgery and I put the Hilton because he has a very good reputation and is supposed to be comfortable however the AC in my room was broken. I have to call the people to fix it a couple of times. It’s not the conditions I want to be when you are going to surgery and you just wanna chill and recover room temperature was sometimes 28°. I was swearing it was very uncomfortable. You definitely don’t fly 12 hours to get surgery and chill in a room that is 28°."

"I had a lovely stay here. The location was in a great area, within walking distance of lots of restaurants, shops, and some of the main sites. My room felt quite spacious and was very clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Would happily stay here again!"
