"This is an amazing old hotel with 20 ft ceilings and original doors and hardware. The interior courtyard is open to the sky. The location adjacent to the Zocalo is great, but can be noisy at night. Guests should plan on seeing the Zorro show on the other side of the Zocalo."

"The garden was beautiful. The room big enough, but the doors don't seem secure with the ancient locking hardware. The lighting in the room left a great deal to be desired. Good coffee, but not free."

"This is one of the most intriguing hotels we have encountered. A complex facility with numerous beautiful courtyards. The Zorro show was well-paced and just the right length. Meals were excellent."
