"Staff was very friendly, kind and helpful. Dog friendly and clean is what we wanted and the Crescent Beach Motel was just right. Can't beat the beach and the views."
Newly built deluxe cabins, in a private redwood setting near the Smith River
10/10 Excellent
"
Cute and cozy cabin tucked away in a peaceful, woodsy setting near Crescent City.
This spot feels perfect for a glamping-style getaway, especially if you enjoy comfort with a touch of rustic charm. The cabin comes with a full-sized bathroom, a bedroom with a full/queen bed, plus a twin foam mattress that can be used on the floor. The sofa could work for an extra guest, though it's not a sleeper. There’s a small kitchenette with a stove, microwave, and mini fridge, along with a two-person dining table in the corner. Outside, the porch has two chairs for morning coffee or evening unwinding, and there's also a picnic table close by.
The downsides: there’s no TV or Wi-Fi, and the door lock was low on battery which caused beeping during the night. Since we were just stopping overnight on our way north, the lack of TV and internet didn’t affect us too much—but it’s worth noting for travelers who need to stay connected.
Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re looking to unplug, relax, and enjoy a secluded retreat. Not ideal for those who need consistent connectivity, but wonderful for a quiet escape.

"We loved the setting, and being surrounded by nature. Many attractions within a fair driving distance. Host was responsive and cabin was comfortably outfitted."
