Jewel Lake Bed and Breakfast

"We booked our room the morning of our stay due to a travel SNAFU. We were extremely happy with our visit. It is a home with 3 bedrooms/2 baths upstairs and (we did not see it) a bedroom/bath downstairs plus laundry and kitchenette (we heard the beep of a microwave and saw references to a fridge downstairs). The owner(s) live on the property, but not in the place you have access to. The kitchen and living room are shared space. The kitchen is well stocked with clean dishes, cereal, fruit, breakfast bars, coffee makers (traditional and Keurig), milk, stove, pots, etc. 2 of the rooms on the 1st floor are considered a suite and share a bathroom, but no one outside of the guests that book the suite have access to that bathroom. It has wood floor beams so there are some floor creeks, but nothing out of the ordinary. The all wood knotty pine paneling and beams reminds me of a ski cabin. There is a nice covered porch out front with plenty of seating. Also tons of seating inside. The carpet is worn in places, and the oldest looking part of location. The kitchen has wood or vinyl planks that look like wood, new and looks very nice. Our shower was reminiscent of a cruise shower in size, but they did a nice job of making the best use of the space. I'm 6'5" and I had no issues with it. The mattress was fine and the bed did squeak a little, but not bad. The owner communication was excellent. We were texted a code to get in and owner was accommodating/responsive. I would stay again."

"We enjoyed our stay at the property. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Things were organized and easy to find. Everything in good condition. We enjoyed not only seeing Jewel Lake nearby but also exploring Kincaid Park nearby. We give thanks to the hosts and recommend this rental."

"Brand new house in a great neighborhood!Check in was easy and our host was super responsive and accommodating. The beds and pillows were fresh, new, and super comfortable. The house was clean, well put together, and not cluttered. Try the Borealis Cafe down the street for a crazy good breakfast. Or Birch and Alder down the Seward Highway for a bit more wilderness vibe. Bring a sleep mask if you’re traveling in the summer."
