Not a good experience
The internet frequently malfunctions, and my phone consistently fails to connect with Housekeeping, Concierge, and Front Desk. Despite my repeated requests to the front desk, I stayed here for eight nights in a room with a subpar view – initially facing the mall parking lot and later overlooking the restaurant's roof.

What i liked was the mall that was attached, the pool area with the DJ,the staff was amazing, they were very professional. What i did not like was the lighting in the room is HORRIBLE! I also dont like carpet on the floor

I totally enjoyed my stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful...the room was very clean, nice and comfortable...I felt like I was at home away from home. The cost to stay at the hotel was very competitive also, and of course I like the location as it's in a very safe neighborhood

I used to love this hotel, so Central and practical with easy access to Hyde Park shopping centre, but the service has gone down so much. Not nice, no efforts, I won’t be back.

There was only 1 towel in the bathroom, 1 water bottle, no shampoo or shower caps. The phone was not working. The chef handles all vegetables used to make eggs with his hands, no gloves were used.

Great location and access to the mall. They had no power in the rooms so was failing to do my conference calls for 4 days because I could not charge my laptop. Albeit the power cuts in SA they should have provisioned for this risk.

The property looked extremely old and warn out. The room smelt plus had stains on the carpet. The facilities at the hotel were very limited. It really felt like Southern Sun were in the process of closing this hotel

A wonderful choice
Covid 19 was making its way to South Africa at the time of the trip. The staff and management were very diligent in offering sanitizers in reception areas, elevators and restaurants. Buffet was switched to ordering personal meals. Fruit, cheese platters etc were offered in individual portions, covered in plastic wrap. Hotel room was comfortable with nice linens. Hotel attached to mall, very convenient. All staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

A great hotel close to Sandton
It was great this time around ( my 3rd stay) - I was given an increased Wifi allowance which served my requirements. Breakfast/Location/Amenities are all fantastic. Will come back again.

Hotel is outdated. Being located in Hyde Park, I expected more. Room was small and lighting in the room was poor. Bright light was that the breakfast was pretty good and staff was very helpful and pleasant.
